I get purple boxes on screen

i get purple boxes on my screen whenever i take fall damage or getting fired by a pyro ... its really anying because i cant see who its blue and who its red

And since the previous answer had no fix. In the options menu where you would change keybinds, the multiplayer tab for sprays has a drop down in the bottom right that says something like "Community Server Content" and you need to pick "download all" so every server will get all content. Now, if it's caused by mods you may or may not have as I see you use a custom hud, try moving the files somewhere else, booting and seeing if it stops.

And with this, I will once more recommend trying to take the hud out and try booting the game with the default hud. If it still isn't fixed. If you run the game with direct x 8.0 which I don't think you do? It breaks fire. 8.1, 9.0, 9.5, 9.8 will all fix this issue.
