Yes if you're on red team it changes the cosmetic to the team color.

Just don't use it on an item that already alternates team colors.
Unless you want it those shades of colors.

Isn't wanting different shades of colours typically the reason why people paint cosmetics? :P

Getting a bit off topic, but there are some cosmetics where the default colours do actually match a paint colour. The only one I know of though is the Crook Combatant with After Eight paint.

I was going clearly off the wiki page. I thought they were 2 seperate colors.
