Uhhh... What happened to the Energy Orb Unusual Effect for weapons?

it isn't listed in the global case unusual effect list. is it gone?

It doesn't fit on knives even when it first came out.

It was probably to hard to fit on all the weapons they selected for us to have. So probably a good thing they decided to bring more weapons in instead of the effect

From what I've heard, it's perma retired. It's speculated that something was wrong with it. Probably can't get it to work with melee weapons either.

Tinfoil hatty speculation: the team saw that Energy Orb was one of the "most unboxed" effect and they decided to remove it.

That and there were multiple reports that it would actually crash basically everybody on the server

I've been wondering about this too. I hope if it was removed it will be fixed somehow and be readded. Isotope and energy orb are my favorite effects. D:

i assume the energy orb items would be replaced with a different (possibly new) effect

It wasn't an issue with crashing so much as it was buggy and had a tendency to disappear.

Sucks it's the best unusual weapon effect it looks really good on a Minigun.
