I do, but in the past Merlin has correctly blocked videos for having actually copyrighted OSTs (see MechaFourth's copyright troubles) from videos that had them. I'm just wondering if it's actually a coincidence that as soon as Valve publishes preorders for their OST, we see this post.

but sometimes merlin gives you an unfair copyright. like i remember ihe and nfkrs got copyright back in 2016 about their damn daniel vids, and those vids is fair use. and the ihe vid does not have the song that copyright claim told that he use the song that is not in the vid. merlin is pretty ♥♥♥♥ gotta be honest

They are, but if Valve has truly copyrighted their music, it could be bad news for the entire community.

They are, but if Valve has truly copyrighted their music, it could be bad news for the entire community.

Valve music is and always will be fair use, Merlin's just trying to milk as many TF2 videos as possible after the soundtrack release.
