seriously? so they made it completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless then.
'here, instead of an item thats designed to make untradeable items tradeable, now you get to pay to put virtual gift wrap on an item, which is then disposed of immediatly when it is opened. thanks for the 2$'
I'm glad valve did it
how is it fixing the economy?
traders & websites say gift wrapped items, or items that were previously gift wrapped, are worth less than normal. and now the gift wrap is both cheaper to buy, and cant be used on untradeable items, locking off potential purchases with untradeables, while also making a larger amount of other gift wrapped items.
basically they have removed the ability to buy items that are otherwise stuck in your inventory for good, while also making an over abundance of cheaper, lesser desired gift wrap applied items.
