VRChat's Avatars are getting deleted
it dosn't matter if you buy an avatar theres still a chance to get ur avatar removed and the autor getting banned its a waste of money and its killing vrchat in my opinion if this keeps going....i think its because since they brought out the IOS and Android update.

Sounds like you got scammed. You should only ever buy files to upload yourself, not access to already-uploaded avatars.

The uploader, moderators, and automated systems can all remove avatars.

Recent updates aren't responsible, with the exception of reduced upload allowances for avatars.
Those can be re-uploaded if they are changed to fit the (still extremely generous) allowances.

you sure? because i think they delete it when mobile version came out to improve the performance of vrchat for IOS and Android keep in mind i think VRCHAT itself shouldnt be allowed for phones because it can damage their battery life which im very sure about it and i bet you need an galaxy s24 ultra or an iphone 16 or iphone 15 to play vrchat smoothly..

I'm sure. Imposters were also added as an alternative to optimising avatars for Quest/Mobile.

That applies to any games, and playing it on mobile is a choice.

yeah but now people are facing lots of bugs issues on vrchat and even on VR for example even if the avatars are on quest + pc it will still get pixelated and sometimes not?

I can't speak for Quest and phone players, but everything seems fine on PC.

This can be from avatar display by rank setting that can be adjust, the "quest + pc" avatar default at medium rank for quest vr while on phone it seem to default at good/excellence rank which will use impostor (pixelated) or use alternative for any medium and lower rank avatar.

beside, phone vrc is the newest so tons of bug for sure, even on pc still have them after all these years lol

Tho the OP, only author have control over avatar, if they gone or make it private, it is inaccessible. But VRChat themselves does not delete avatar in a mass like that.

If by "wiped out" you mean "banned", then it makes sense that their avatars are gone too.
Otherwise they may have just made the avatar private or deleted it.

Good, seems like my daily copyright infringement reporting has been going somewhere.

I'm not sure about the possible scam or incompatible platform etc. But avatar deletion is pretty much on rampage as of late. Thing is, stealing avatar (like the real file of the avatar, not cloning it in-game) is rampant and that's a no-no and will likely deleted. There's also some people who think they can just upload an actual copyrighted character into the VRchat such as Vtuber avatar which is bigger no-no as it can lead to possible lawsuit especially if its gated behind paywall to get it, hence the sweeping.

TLDR, the system just doing its job; its the avatar uploader responsible to learn what do and don't when uploading one.
