It's NOT almost the same.

its likely more fun with a vrheadset but without one i I still have a pretty good time. While there are lots you can do with a headset the main aspect of the game is socializing with the community, which non VR users can do.

It's not. It's an online chatroom with avatars. The "Experience" won't be any different. Anyone who says otherwise just wants to overhype being able to accurately grab a crotch or pet a tail.

Pretty enjoy able i'd say... Even though you can express you self more with vr

I have played with VR and without. I'd say VR is better, but not enough to justify the cost of a headset.

Granted I don't have any of the VR controllers, but at the same time if you are just going to use the game as a chat, you can skip a lot of the additional Set up and stuff if you just launch it normally.

I wouldn't buy a VR headset just for this game to put it that way x)
Even though you do get a special little experience if you have the headset. Like going on carnival rides or having a more accurate time playing bowling.

"Its almost the same". Uh... you can't dance, you can't boop anime girls on the nose. You can't pet a member of the kitty cat parade. You can't sit crosslegged on the floor. You can't peak through wallls. You can't high five or bro fist a friend. You can't hold two guns in laser tag. You can't properly throw a bowling ball. You can't give a thumbs up. You can't genuinely wave to friends. You can't use a marker accurately. Add a bout 200 other little things. Then add the immersion of VR.

No its not the same. Non VR Mode you are basically just a static object that can relay no emotion or sense of presense. Unless you have a particularly interesting voice, its like no one is even there at all. Its like comparing a ballet dancer to a rock.

I have full body tracking. It lets you do about every dance you could possibly think of. I am not an amazing dancer by any means but I can move around my ENTIRE room, fully tracked, dancing. No it is not the same. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought all of this.

Also VR is a very physical, and somewhat intimiate activiity. In that you are using your full body and are standing for hours burning calories. VERY different than sitting on a computer spouting dead memes.

It's okay with Keyboard and Mouse but much much better with a VR headset, I suggest one of the Windows Mixed Reality headsets like the Dell Visor. You get VRChat VR experience without having to sell a kidney.

I played around 140-150 hrs without a VR headset but yesterday I got an Oculus and it really does make a difference lol. But you will have fun with or without VR.

It is definitely more fun with a VR headset.
But it's more tiring if you stand up, and even if you sit down, that damn face cover is rubbing the eff out of your forehead and / or eyebrows and for some people, you get a headache and motion sickness if you have classic locomotion.
Non-vr is more suitable for those who wish to play more than 2 hours and use your mic for it.
For all this time, I have only been silly with stupid VR movements and never spoken.

I wish they could implement more interactive actions in desktop mode. Hold a button and the mouse to move the arms or hands, etc. Keyboard and mouse combination have so many possibilities. I understand this is a VR game, but it would be nice to interact more with the people using a VR set. Probably the game has more desktop users than VR users now because all the attention from the videos featuring memes.
