Kill Poltergeists in chapter 5 Umbral Labyrinth if you want the gender-neutral armor drops (teleport to Sun Door 4; there's a Poltergeist icon naerby that spawns 2-5 of them, kill them and teleport to Sun Door 4 again, repeat).

Kill Bennu Core in final chapter Abyss if you want the gender-specific armor drops. Teleport to Star Door 15 and move up a map; there's a Bennu Core right near the entrance.

Kill the Grimoires in final chapter Abyss if you want the traveler weapons. This one is a bit more tricky; there are two Grimoire icons on each Abyss map; the top one can only ever transform into Estelle/Joshua/Richard/Kloe/Zin/Josette/Anelace/Renne, while the bottom one can only ever transform into the other eight characters, and they seem to have a lot harder time transforming into certain characters compared to others. (Also, the Rod Angels in Phantasmagoria can drop the traveler weapons for Ries, Estelle, Schera and Kloe/Julia.)

Other things possibly worth noting are Quinty Ribbon+1 from Doppel Tita in Abyss, Fool's Emblem from G-Apache in Normal Arena (this one's 100% drop), various quartz gem from Archne Zigma in Abyss, various accessories from the final fight in Nightmare Arena, and Jormungand from Doppel Anelace/Renne. Quinty RIbbon+1 and Jormungand can also be obtained Slepnir from Phantasmagoria.

Are they better than the final armor you can purchase from the store? the Cosmic Armor and Dragon Boots? Question is for RegalStar.

Honestly farming equipment is complete waste of time, the drop rate is ridiciolus in the best traditions of garbage asian MMO's, which is understandable since this game kinda old, and equipment arent even that important if you have a grasp on combat and different buff/debuff stuff.

I know that its mostly to strategy and orbments to fight than just equipment but it still helps and I am down to farming them if I have the patience

According to one of the japanese guides, you can steal those items. I haven't tested stealing yet, and am unsure if you can steal multiple items from the same enemy or not. This might be worth it during fights where only 1 of that enemy spawns per fight.

The knight armor has 1500 defense. The kitty armor gives a massive speed boost. The ninja armor gives speed + agi. The other armor gives 1000 arts defense. The boots that pair with the armors give similar boosts. The Ninja Tabis and Kitty boots are the 2 best ones though. Ninja tabis give speed + a whopping 100 agi. I usually pair Knight Armor + Ninja Tabis on most of my characters. There is a different setup for arts attackers.

It was way harder to farm the boots from poltergeists. I probably got armor to boots at a 10:1 ratio. There is no way that's RNG, the boots are just way rarer. I got like 8-14 of each of the armors, and only a few 1-3 copies of the boots.

There are some enemies that drop the boots, and not the armors that it would probably be easier to farm the boots from. It might be a higher drop rate as well.

From what i got steal chance is the same is the drop, furthermore stealing items might count as dropped and most likely will be some consumable stuff, chances to steal gear is probably as low as drop, and also stealing from ~same level minions is often end in failure, although stealing as overlevel works ok.

Schera and Josette both have a steal craft, and if you got Kevin, you can keep their CP topped off for stealing. I'm gonna test it out in a bit. The phantom thief cloak also increases drop rates, but I think it's like the fortune quartz, where that's only for the person equipped with the items that kills the targets.

So ideally, 2 stealers + 1 character with fortune + phantom thief cloak equipped who gets the kills. High dex might increase the steal %, and there are items that give a massive dex bonus. Divine Blade emblem, and a few other such items.

Here is what I did to farm poltergeists:

- Get 3 characters killed, purposely. This limits the inputs required to finish a battle raising your farming speed.
- Use a high ATS user w/2 crimson eyes (Kloe/Oliver/Joshua)
- Get preemptive attack => death scream.
- Repeat.
(this was as soon as I could fight them in chapter 5)

Later on there is a quartz (can't recall its name) but you get preemptive attacks when it's equipped. You might wanna wait until later when you get this before item farming. But it's not 100% crucial, but it will save you time. If you're overleveled you can replace 1 crimson eye with another accessory like phantom thief cloak. Have Josette as support for increased item drops + fortune quartz as well. Joshua could get death scream w/fortune equipped in chapter 5. Oliver can too.

So ideally, you want the quartz for preemptive attack + 1 crimson eye + 1 phantom thief cloak + fortune quartz + Josette support. And as much ATS as you can get from other slots. Dark Matter EX might work as well, but you might need Range 2 to be able to hit all the poltergeists.

One other thing I've noticed is that, generally, if one Doppelganger transforms into a character then the other one has a roughly 50% chance of turning either into a second clone of the same character or a specific character closely related to them. Or in other words:
-Kevin/Ries
-Estelle/Joshua
-Anelace/Renne
-Agate/Tita
-Julia/Mueller
-Schera/Olivier

Probably some permutation of Richard, Kloe, Zin, and Josette as well but I've never actually encountered them both yet.

Imo best for farming trashcans will be Agate, at least fastest, wild rage into dragon dive will clear every poltergeist or similar fight at an instant.

btw good info that fortune works only on character who wield it, didnt know that one.

Also running a few tests with stealing im almost sure of few things:

Loot generates when battle start, one creature cannot drop more than once. Once you steal from it, you cannot get drop ( or at least i wasnt able ). So basically all that drop equipment not very usefull, since if game RNG'ed some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ consumable into drop, no matter what your chance to get item, it chance will only work for that one, it doesnt increase the chance of getting "rare" drop. but if game generates rare item in enemy, that chance will be worth.

I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. If you steal from an enemy, you will always get one particular item from its droplist. This is especially evident against Archne Zigma in Abyss, which drops Gold Gem extremely rarely but will always give up one when you steal. So unless the item you want is the steal for that monster, you will want to kill them normally.

You can only steal one item, after that you get message that target has no items.
And i didnt say you dont get items from stealing, you get, but after stealing, at least for me, monsters not drop anything, making me think that steal/drop are shared.
