Game doesn't launch
Operating system: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 6100 3.70 Ghz

What happened:
The game basically doesn't launch at all. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall it but everytime I click on "PLAY", it seems like it's about to launch but the blue "PLAYING" button on Steam goes back to the green "PLAY" one, few seconds after, and there's no task in the task manager for the game. It's been quite sometimes that I have the bug, I just didn't take the time to report it before, but it seems that nobody had it ? Sorry for reporting it late btw.

Hope I'll be returing to thsi game soon, I miss playing it on rainy days off !
Thanks in advance and happy new year !

Hmm, strange; it's supposed to work, and nothing in the output log indicated that it didn't work.

Have you tried running the game as administrator? Is there other software that you're running that is perhaps gatekeeping?

I've just tried to run the game as admin and it doesn't work either. Been trying to close all others software usually running at the same time (browser, Discord, etc) but it doesn't change anything. Could there be any kind of software running that blocks it ? Ther'es nithing much running in the background apart from antivirus, audio and graphics :/

Is there a way you can get your anti-virus software to disregard Hidden Folks?

The game also may be blocked by a background process - I recall three players saying they couldn't run the game because of software they were required to install for the company they worked at... maybe something pops to mind? They disabled it, or just played on another device.

The unfortunate bottom line here is that if you can't figure it out, I'm not sure I can either. I just checked and it does work as expected on my Windows 10 Home device with similar specs. I'm no expert at debugging at an OS level, and because 'it runs for everyone else', I have to assume it has something to do with your specific setup. I wouldn't know where to even start or what instructions to give you. hmm.
