Arx City Enemy: Cursed Revenants - Cannot kill them
Alright so me and my friends went to the destroyed part of Arx city where there are some undead flaming skeletons named Cursed Revenant.

At first we managed to kill some by extinguishing the Necrofire on them with Bless, then Ice magic for normal fire, they did resurrect one time but after that single time, if blessed and not on fire, they died for good when reaching 0 health.

We then moved to another part of the area where there are 3 cursed revenants in a room, standing on top of some stairs in a ruined building. We tried and did the same thing we did with other ones, but these 3 revenants won't die even after multiple blessing and reaching 0 HP, they are absolutely immortal, despite being the exact same enemy we defeated before.

So i wanna ask: how are you supposed to kill them? They have no special buffs or anything, analyzed them with Loremaster 5 and no special skills either, they just don't die.

Is this a bug or am i missing something?

They respawn in necrofire. Either bless all fire around them (in a LARGE) area, or teleport them far away. I am sure it is intended to be this way, though it is annoying as ♥♥♥♥. Basically get rid of fire

So the necrofire even if not on them acts as a respawn point? So all the fire in the whole area must be gone or they keep comin back?

Yep

i found that if you run outside the chapel to the area where the paladins are you can kill them no problem, they don't seem to respawn even if there is necrofire in the chapel i think as long as they arent standing in necrofire they won't respawn

Right back with an update:

@Rain we did try and clean up all the fire around, still the enemy respawned in some other cursed fire a bit farther, we did not bother and left those 3-4 guys there to rot, cleaning all the fire of that area antirely every single pixel is way too much effort compared to that 300-400k exp you may get.

They do respawn as long as in the area, in the whole district, there is a single inch of Necrofire, cleaning all with Tornadoes is a titanic effort, but probably works.

Hey just killed the one on the right behind the locked door from where you enter. I had to clean up the area around it with tornado but I also killed it while it carried the weakened debuff from being blessed. I 'm not sure which one it was but it died for good.

Took me about an hour to figure this out... but theres a bug where if you attempt to fight them inside the consulate, they will spawn on a wall near the south west side of the cosulate (even though there's no fire.) The way to solve this is to place one of your characters in the spot they would spawn. This will make it so that they cannot spawn there again. From here, remove all Necrofire from the area (if you need extra source, you can take a character back to the main gate (lots of magister corpses) and get a refill.

This area is a huge pain and you get a super victory hype when you finally kill these jerks!

Hope this helps!

Cheers

You need to remove ALL of the cursed fire, not just a little bit, ALL OF IT. Takes quite a while and normal fire can be left but all of the cursed fire surfaces need to be removed regardless how little or else they just respawn in them. The entire interior seems to be set as their go to respawn if cursed fire surfaces are present.

Its also bugged. I cleared all the fire but they respawned many times close to a couch. I had to teleport them far away from that thing to kill them. Then they were gone and thats it.

I see no relevant reward.

Maybe a tiny cursed surface was under that couch. Did it occur even after you sent tornado over it ?

Btw for those who dont know you can keep cycling your tornado caster in and out of combat.
Just flee after cast, wait for CD and go back in either by foot or pyramid. Makes it a whole lot easier.

Tornados, that Hammer-attack from Warfare, i swapped surfaces and i tried to frezze everything. I also blessed it!

They always respawned at the couch. There seems to be some fire under the surface.

Hm... thats strange... as soon as i figured out i need to cleanse the area of cursed BS i had no problem like this.
Did saving and reloading help or was it permanent ? Sometime... well more times it would care to admit the game gets a little wonky.

I did not try to reload, because i fought 4 of this dudes in this battle! :D He was the last one, and it was easier to teleport him away. The other 3 died without problems.

Easy way to avoid this Bugy ♥♥♥♥ event..stand outside of the building where the Pealadin standing..there is a hole to look in the Room directly in front of the Garden..open a Portal (with the Summoner Skill or a Scroll) Teleport you in the Room Lockpick the Gate and be happy to avoid all of the ♥♥♥♥ Ravengers

I casted 'bless' on the curse necro fire and it changed it to regular fire and those buggers immediately took fire damage and the portaled ones had no where to resurface safely.
