Is Necromancy - Witchcraft?

Haven't played the game yet, been waiting for full release. So I know almost nothing about it at this point. Is Necromancy - basically Witchcraft from the first Original Sin?

Necromancy should be Necromancy, hope they made it a true a proper Necromancer instead of just curses and stuff like in early access.

And I really liked the idea of Whichcraft thematically more than Necromancy. Simply in name. So I agree, I would also like it if they were different schools.
But at this point I'm simply happy that they didn't remove Witchcraft from the game, but just renamed it.
