Question about bone cage
So the description says that it gives a base amount of armour and then gives that much again for every corpse in the area.

But for me, it's not giving that base amount? I was in a battle and Ifan had lost all his physical armour, so I had my necro cast bone cage on him. There weren't any corpses yet so it obviously wasn't the best time to use it but I thought the base amount would at least be better than nothing, but it gave him 0 armour.

Is the description wrong or am I missing something?

it should give base amount of armor, at least for character who has it, maybe you need necromancy to get benefit from it?

I believe you can't cast it on allies, but only on yourself. So in your case Ifan didn't get any armor because your necromancer casted it on himself and got all the armor.

I'll have to see next time I use it. But why does it let me target allies if it doesn't work on them?

It doesn't. While you're casting it, you can click anywhere to confirm it. You can see if you can actually use a spell on an ally by looking at their outilne. I've taken this two screenshots as an example.
In this one, I'm casting Mosquito swarm: as you can see, my allies have a blue outilne, indicating that I can cast it on them. Also, you can notice a "select a target" under your mouse indicator (-visible as the distance, 4.6m), which also tells you that you need to actually choose somebody.

While in this one, I'm casting bone cage. Only Fane, my necromancer, has a blue outline, meaning he can only cast it on himself. Note that under my mouse indicator there is nothing written, so you don't need to choose who you want to cast it on, because it's not meant to be cast on anybody else expect for the caster.
