Sir Lora...is what I hate most about this game
Sir Lora doesn't really do much of anything.

This game is so detailed and rich, yet Sir Lora is just nothing.

It would be great if Sir Lora could actually attack an enemy, instead of just running away from everything.

The Black Cat is implemented so much better than Sir Lora.

Please, Larian Studios, let Sir Lora attack!

What are your thoughts on Sir Lora???

He is a tutorial mechanism that was intended to help players learn about crafting skillbooks. When he bestows power or knowledge on you, it’s teaching you a recipe for a combined skill. The hopes were that players would see that recipe and potentially try experimenting with other combinations to learn about all the other skillbook crafting recipes.

I’m not sure people realized that about him however, as it isn’t clear what he teaches you unless you browse the recipe page.

He is there to trigger pressure plates unless you shoo him away or he dies in which case he follows you in spirit form (and can be "consumed" via Source Vampirism if I might add).
He is totally optional, I don't see any problem with it.

I keep a deathfog barrel from the ship handy just for him :dos2skull:

he was just a very quick thrown on bonus for people, not ment for much more then that, be glad he talks I guess? since there has been games where the bonus would be just a pet that follows.
thoough idk he semi annoying and meh so might be worse :D ..

my thoughts is that he constantly rattling, blocks chain movement and teleports all around battlefield as annoying as can be, but otherwise he has alot of banter so i guess hes not that bad, hes pretty funny too.

I mean... he's an excellent source of enemy grenades and other aoe attacks when they can't reach me.

When he dies, I tell him to shoo.

He is kinda like the comic relief character, one that just hang out with the protagonist doing little to nothing, but help in cheering them up a little.

My Sir Lora died in Arx, by deathfog released from the void spider thingy on death in the sewers. I was lucky i had comeback kid or else i would've died.

He just seems to be a burden. If he could attack, he'd at least have some use.
LukanGamer Apr 17, 2020 @ 1:26pm
his use is his story/character and that far outweighs combat in a RolePlaying game....

Now the fact he dies non-stop (who cares he becomes a ugly ghost with source vision) and is very meh in every way from voice-story and a lil too comical that is kind of bad (though it can I suppose come down to personal taste maybe some one out there love his bland voice, personality, and seemingly story idk).

Sir Lora just gives you recipes and a little bit of whimsy. In my playthrough he died somewhere along the line. I don't think he's annoying except for when you're trying to do certain puzzles and he stands on pressure plates.

How dare you insult a noble Knight of Drey? There’s a special place in Nemesis for people who insult the reincarnation of the Great Acorn itself.

I was aware of that considering that I spent about 20 hours of the game that way. I just didn't want to spoil it for anyone who may not know.

As a new player, I certainly appreciate the effort YOU made in that regard... :)

lol
it's not really a spoiler or big deal and heck it something some people never bother to notice or care (likely including you and just hiding that fact ashamed some reason) it not like a huge story segment pops up and he gives you a scare or you hear rustling on the ground and faint squeeks+wispers making you wonder what it is (though be cool if did).
Not to mention the topic litteraly about Sir Lora soo if you don't want to know about him then ya..
