Which is funny to me cuz Ifan kind of throws himself at you in the ship at the beginning. It's subtle, but he's more affectionate and carrying in that one interaction than the vast majority of my straight friends have ever been. Heck, in high school one of my friends wouldn't even let me have a nap on his shoulder when we were heading back home from the movies, late at night. But anyway, that's just my experience
Perhaps she's just so needy that she doesn't take rejection well. Actually, that fits with her personality traits. I've known extroverted people like her who didn't take rejection very kindly.
Honestly, this game offers a ton of replayability, and it doesn't really force you into any romance options, should you choose not to do so.
If by this you mean will all the Npc's follow you, whether you choose to "Romance" with them or not, yes, they will all follow you, (in my experience), whether or not you "Choose" to make them happy or not. It's more or less about the NPC's believing in you.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure you can complete the storylines for every character in your party, no matter who you have in your party.
I know I've completed both Sebille's, and Lohse's Storyline/Side quests in one run. Only I had a romance with Lohse, but I still kept Sebille along with me in my party. There was absolutely no quarrel between either of them. Mind you, I did "beat" the game a long time ago, but I highly doubt the romance options would get in the way of one another.
Further more, a lot of the Npc's liking you, and disliking you relies heavily on "Persuasion". Having this all but maxed out on your main character for the most part, adds a ton of different ways you can play the game, but most importantly, majority of the Npc's are willing to join you, rather than ditch you.
For example. One of my games i started off with Ifan, Sebille, and beast. Once I got to chapter 2, or just before, even despite using Ifan the entire game, he STILL didn't want to join me. Thus I respec'd my character, and maxed out their Persuasion, on a new load, and he ended up joining me.
Some of the script in this game I feel is pretty bad at some times, and at some points, I can see it making sense.
Anyways, point being, you can pretty much have any form of a party, depending on how you play, and or level up your characters stats. You're never really "Forced" into anything
I will say this though.... It's only MY OPINION, but I feel as if Lohse has the best story out of all the Npc's you can party with. Could just be a "Red Head" Fetish or something though.
