Does This Have Any Replayability?
Hey, I was thinking about buying this game but before I do I was just wondering if it had any sort of replayability or endgame to it, or does the game just finish once the story is done?

I'm not done with my first playthrough and I already want to play again on the hardest difficulty.

Replayability yes. You can't see everything on one playthrough. Particularly where your companions are concerned. Would take two playthroughs at least.

yes x2

note: why would i say "yes x 2" ? first of all its a long game with many options but it also has the option for mods which can change the entire game... so yeah u can play it over n over.
There are 6 origin Stories. On one playthrough, you can at best have 4 origin characters in your party. So, if you want to experience the 6 origin quests, you'll have to beat the game at least once with a party of origin characters only, then beat it again with the remaining one you didn't pick.

On top of that, there are probably quests you'll miss on your first playthrough or can't get because of persuasion check or something along the lines.

6 Origin stories, a bunch of custom characters, tons of branching paths with quests you might miss or fail outright, and 4 difficulty modes. Plus multiplayer, Plus custom adventures for multiplayer, plus mods.

Absolutely replayable.

I'm just about done with my first playthrough, and am already thinking about my 2nd. Not just which mods or a slightly different build, but crazy mistakes I made in the beginning, party choice (Though that is pretty much just interaction as you can build them the same if you choose).

For a turn based Western old style RPG to accomplish this with such a long game is absurd in this day and age. I've spent more time on this than I did The Witchere 3 and all it's DLC and two expansions; heh, and I'm not done!

I would not say it's a better game than the great crpg's ever in their time (The first Pools of Radiance, the First Baldur's Gate, Dragonage, KotOR, Mass Effect 1 and 2, or the Witcheer 3, but replayability-wise? Absolutely. the only caveat being: if you used the 7 players mod (so everyone could be in the party) on your first run, then I don't think a replay would be much fun. Well, f you f'd up like I did early it mat be, but if you get out of Fort Joy with everyone in your party then yeah, it would kill my urge to run through again (I think).

Great game. I'd score it a solid 8.5 to a weak 9. I'd score it a solid 9 but big bug that has effected over half the players was never fixed. Modders could not fix it either which tells me it was more than a few lines of redundant code and a misplaced or forgotten tag. Other minor bugs were, *whatever), so the Blood Rose* boost is gone (I was a little irked, but just bc I found my character in battle fighting with no boots bc of requirements. A ring swap, boots on, and everything was pretty much normal again ;^) .

Heh, I really do ant to rush through Arx so I can start Anew...So again, it is absolutely replayable. More-so than Baldur's Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal imo, which together are about the same length (75-250 hours depending on ho much you do).

About 2 playthroughs worth of content, if you really explore everything.
At the very least you should do a Fane Main and a Lohse Main.

You can see almost everything in one playthrough and also there are only a couple of playable builds, so no. The game is highly overrated. I really forced myself to finish last two acts, let alone playing this for the second time. Characters are bland, boring and generic, they have no specialization, all running the same meta skills and it doesn't matter what party composition will you gather for the second playthrought they all will be running the same boring meta skills and the same meta builds. Basically, all your "origin" characters are nothing more than different skins for your same boring bland generic meta builds, they will have the same meta stats, cast the same meta skills and the only difference between them is appearance, you can as well just spam these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mercs from the tavern.

To me yes, I noticed that through 4 playthroughs I am still discovering new things, the only thing that's a hassle for me now is fort joy, I basically rush that at this point. Quickly get the maximum XP and be level 9 when you're on the boat.
