Strongest Class Picks for Origin Characters
Couldn't find a topic on the subject so I thought I'd start one, what are your guys opinion on the best class combos with each character? So far I've thought of a few good ones.

- Fane as Scoundrel/Necro; free lockpicks, can heal with necromancy, and it's thematically cool to be an undead, face-stealing thief. (Not to mention extra turn mixes well with adrenaline for multiple turns of backstabbing)

-Ifan as Summoner/Huntsman;You get that gross crossbow from Zaleksar at the start and soul wolf scales off of summoning, seems pretty obvious.

Feel free to post some of your own builds below!

I'm gonna go for elf for best rogue character. Flesh sacrifice is just that good.

as someone said if you wear a race mask you will get race abilities. i.e. elf confume flesh.
Fane win more from geomancy Poison, but poison may explode :)

However, your party must be made around Phys or Mag damage, not both. Hybrid party will suck.

Go thane, and flesh mask elf. You get flesh sacrifice elf, + time warp.

I started over with a new build and its rocking the house so far. Just reached level 6.

Party:

Red Prince - Knight - Warfare/Poly
Stats: Str 18, Con 16, Mem 12
Skills: Ram, Whirlwind, Smash, Cripple, Wings, Medusa, Iron Flesh.
Civics: Pursuasion
Talents: Torturer, Opportunist

This guy is a beast. He puts out a lot of damage, strips armour fast and is good for CC. His only weakness is magic defense, meaning he can get disabled himself quite easily. Giving him better magic defense gear and relying on Iron Flesh negates this somewhat. His next trait will probably be Morning Person so he never has any down time.

Lohse - Enchanter - Hydro/Aero
Stats: Int 17, Con 14, Mem 12
Skills: Rain, Restore, Winter Blast, Hail, Frost Armour, Disharge, Shocking Touch
Civics: Thievery
Talents: Comeback Kid

Not much to say here. Pretty standard Enchanter build. O've not bought many Aero skills yet. Teleport will replace Shocking Touch when i get around to it. I chose Frost Armour over the aura buff so she can help support Prince better who's generally outside of her range.

Fane - Counjurer - Summon/Geo
Stats: Int 16, Con 14, Mem 13
Skills: Bolt, Idol, Incarnate, Power Infusion, Mend, Implalement, Poison Arrow.
Civics: Loremaster/Leadership
Talents: All Skilled Up

This guy is a true multiclass. His summons are his main weapon, being able to adapt to either magic or physical damage. His Geo spells can support Lohse when artillary is needed. He can tank quite well thanks to his shield and mend ability. The only drawback to him is the fact that he needs a lot of stats to pull everything off, hence the talent pick. Mnemonic is probably in his future so he can go even wider in options.

Ifan - Ranger - Huntsman/Pyro
Stats: Fin 17, Con 12, Mem 11, Wit 15
Skills: Peace of Mind, Elemental Arrows, Ricochet
Civics: Lucky Charm, Barter
Talents: Bigger and Better, Pet Pal

Not done much with his build yet. I took Bigger and Better because he needed the boost to Wit. His low Con means that I need to keep him out of combat. With that in mind I'm waiting to get access to the ships mirror so I can switch him from Pyro to Poly and he can learn Chameleon and Wings.

I beg to differ. I am running Lone Wolf on Fane and my own character and going one magic, and one physical has helped me defeat so many encounters where 2 mobs had outregous armor/low magic, and 2 others had vice versa. So i split up and use my adv.

Also Thane undead Geomancer/Aerotheurge is godly.

A hybrid party is good, 4x "specialists" who are good in 1-2 areas, all different, compensating eachother. A hybrid "jack-of-all-trades" character, not so much. Sure u got sumthin for every situation but it'll be half arsed and boring. Rather be really good at some things and with some potential weaknesses, makes it more interesting.

Also, as an undead Fane can use his fingers to pick locks without (meaning he doesnt need a kit) which is useful.

i like red prince for pyro/summon and stacking fire resist on his equipment so i can drop alot of AoEs and with less chance of roasting myself...

Fane makes a great Summoner if you are going for a Lone Wolf game, but I actually like him more as a Warfare/Scoundrel character. Rogues have a problem staying alive, and with Fane as your up close and personal guy, he can get healed by poison explosions and just Play Dead if he gets low on health.

One of the most hilarious and simple tricks you can do is make him Play Dead and start a fight, then make the enemy walk over Fane trying to get to you. Then he pops up with full AP and absolutely wrecks someone in one round.
