1. Divine Divinity
2. Divinity 2
3. DOS 2
4. DOS 1
5. Dragon Commander
I have to leave out Beyond Divinity, since i never finished it.
DoS 1
DoS 2 (cause of bugs, armor system, bloating numbers every 2 levels)
Didn't play others
I admit I wasn't able to get very far into it, just couldn't get into it.
D2 was my first Larian game. And i actually rly like it )
Not that I didn't enjoy DOS2, just I felt the mechanics were better in DOS (I played both the original and the EE). It felt like when they rebalanced the combat system for DOS2 they just left out the fun. Mostly I think it's the insane level and gear scaling as well as the armor system. But it's also things like the 4 AP limit, the alternating initiative order and the really tight economy. The elemental system was also fresh and new in DOS, the modifications of cursed and blessed statuses in DOS2 just made it annoying. I thought DOS2 had better writing, I was glad they reigned in the silliness, but I thought DOS had a better plot. Maybe if they do an enhanced edition my opinion will change.
After that I'll go with D2, it was a pretty fun game once you could turn into a dragon and you built up your abilities enough that combat wasn't as much of a chore. I didn't play the other Divinities, since I'm not really a fan of hack and slash games.
DOS1
Divine Divinity.
Beyond Divinity.
Dragon Commander.
Flames of Vengeance.
Ego Draconis.
Dragon Commander is weird. Both amazing and terrible simultaneously.
The engines after that, DOS and Dragon Commander both performed absolutely wonderfully. While being by far more ambitious then whatever Divinity 2 tried to do. And Divinity 2 was a LONG time in development, far longer than any other game they had in production afterwards.
Could not have said it better. I do not get the uncritical praise for this game from people who also played DOS1. I loved the first for it's deep combat and character system.
For 2 it seems they tossed half of that out and replaced it either nothing at all or pure BS.
Still a good game, just a huge stepback in these aspects.
Divinity 2
Dos1
Divine divinity
Beyond divinity
Dragon commander
But I liked them all so it doesn't mean much that the older ones are near the bottom. The only one I didn't like was Dragon Commander.

Divinity 2
I don't have any favourite. The only divinity I think trly sucked was beyond divinity. Dragon commander is an RTS. SO I simply don't put it i nthe same category.
D2 sucked when I first played it ( the first few hours) but the more I played . The more it grew on me. It's has aged very badly though.
Divine divinity has a great soundtrack and is a nice game. The voice acting is awful though lol. My theory is... they had no budget for the voice acting and the dev did it lol.
At release, yes...due to the publisher calling the shots and forcing Larian with some decisions.
They later released a directors cut, and then (as much as they could) added and adjusted things.
I wouldn't call it a great game, but it is quite enjoyable, especially the expansion.
