About defeating Dallis in Fort Joy
How would one do it? I've seen on youtube people are level 5 when fighting her, but I have no idea how they kept her at the entrance, how can you enter Fort Joy without going through the dialogue with her?

There is a ladder going up to the ramparts of the ghetto directly west of Dallis and the crew I believe. Spin your camera around some.

Easiest way...
When making a character, get telekinesis and strength.
On the boat, open the deathfog door, very quickly pick up the barrels before they explode.
Go to the Dallis confrontation at the front, toss barrels, explode barrels.

Otherwise... Next to the entire scene out front is a ladder that takes you to where Magister Yarrow chills out at. You can avoid the entire Dallis confrontation up until you leave fortjoy and go to the marshes (at this point, Dallis just executes the person and continues as normal) so, you must engage her before leaving fortjoy.
Beware.... ifan will die, if he is not in your group. So may Lohse. Actually, you'll more than likely lose this fight 99 times out of 100. Dallis wrecks face. Last time I tried at level 5 she hit me once, lose all my armor and 80% of my hp. It is no walk in the park to beat Dallis at Fort Joy.

You should definitely use the ladder and avoid the Dallis conversation. If you use the Death Fog trick the moment you see Dallis, it will interfere with many quests.

Other than the Deathfog trick, which you only need one and you have to be careful with, you can also sit on the rampart, the one opposite the ladder. If you don't open the gate that leads into the fortress, you can only be attacked by ranged attacks or if the Geist backstabs one of your characters.

Not really. She runs away. What quests does it interfere with ?

How so? If you're talking about how the Deathfog will kill NPC's that run through it, you can burn the Deathfog away.
You could fill a back pack with every heavy item in the zone and then drop it on his head with teleport. Probably coul get it to hit him for over 1000 damage, but I haven't played around to much with teleport builds.

You can defeat that fight against Dallis and all the adds right at the beginning, at level 2, when you first arrive at the gate.

But... it takes a ridiculously long time. It takes about 200 turns per kill and there's a bunch of them to kill. Not practical, but totally doable.

All you need is a bow and nothing else. No special build required.

Go up the ladder to the right of the gate and plink one shot with your bow to start combat while standing as far back from the ladder as you can, with your back against the tower with the dwarf up top.

They will move forward. On your first turn enter stealth. They will skip and do nothing.

Now repeat the following:

If you have 4 AP, skip your turn.
If you have 6 AP, shoot once, then enter stealth.

And that's it. Keep repeating that, doing about 10 damage a shot and eventually, you will kill them all.

At 8 ton, and high crit chance... It will crit for 9.8k.
Such a pain in the ass to use though. Have to use "send to xxxxx" or teleport crystals or telekinesis it everywhere.

The Black Cat will run through it and die.
Borris will die, and Ifan needs to talk to him.
Magister Yarrow will sometimes aggro, so she dies.
Gawin can die if you don't clear out the deathfog before doing his quest.

So, basically only Ifan's quest can be screwed over by this. Because of Magister Borris.
Though, I'm sure him dying will still continue his quest in some form, maybe just a bit less info for your next lead.

Every other quest it wont ruin, unless you keep the deathfog there. So be sure to clear the deathfog and if you aren't playing with that one character, all is good?

So if Borris dies Ifan's whole quest dies too?

No. This game is specifically designed not to shaft you like that.
You will have to find a lead elsewhere. Maybe his corpse will have a note. Maybe he has a shack in the marshes. There will be other ways to proceed. Or skip that step entirely and come across the next section of quest simply by talking to someone in a new town.
Biggest annoyance about killing boris is not being able to get that amazing xbow from zaleskar which is probably better then dallis's hammer anyways.
