What is your party composition? Are you all level 4? At a minimum, I'd suggest doing everything else in the fort before tackling him (asides the fight upstairs) and at level 4 you gain access to new, more powerful, skill books, that would be helpful to pick up.
Keep golems cc'd. They dont have magic armor. Limit his movmet by setting up either oil or lightning surfaces around him before the fight starts. His physical armor is the easiest to get rid of so have your fighter and rouge if you have them beat through his armor as fast as they can and then knock him down. Make sure to make it as annoying as possible for the monks and golems to reach your party.

i finished him off at lvl 3. take a long-long shot from the stairs with a compound bow. it will not damage him, but it will trigger the event and he will be spawned right next to you.
this will trigger him, but not the golems or priests.

he's dead in 2 turns. just destroy the armor and get some knowndown ready. aint so hard 4v1:D:

You can keep all golems and monks on CC since they have no physical armor. Golems specifically have no magical armor. Kniles hits hard, but you need to power down one of his defenses and then hit him with every effect you have.

Protip, Bleeding cancels out Regeneration, so if a Monk casts it on themselves or him, you can take it right off again. Especially if Monks cast it on themselves, since the most common Bleeding skill is defended by Physical armor, which they do not have.

What I did is position my party down the stairs and engaged him with 1 character only. Then ran back to my party with my character and lured him alone. So it was 4v1.

From there you have 2 - 3 turns to focus fire on him and kill.

By the time the golemns got out of their cage, Knile had only 1/4 hp left on him when I fought him and the monks were still not able to engage my party. I killed him the next turn.

That way you can also use high ground with your archer to gain accuracy up the ladder.

I got it after reaching level 4. I went upstairs and did those fights first. Leveled up to level 5 on the knives fight. Equipped my archer with a crossbow and took his physical armor down ASAP then kept him knocked down and disarmed

Crowd Control.

I brought 2 oil barrels and made a line from the stairs lured them all in and them used Red Prince fire breath to ignite them, from there I just used CC

Cheese it. Have your non-aoe ground effecting character talk to him while you pre-set the battlefield.

I had my Hydro/Aero mage use rain to make it easy to lock the golems in their cages.

Some good advice in the thread. You don't need any tactic if you are level 5. Which is quite easy to achieve before Kniles. The stupid guy even teleports towards you on his own. He is dead the first turn then, if you have cared a bit about Wits.

How do you hit level 4? I haven't found enough content to level me before that fight.
