Frame rate issues
I'm getting serious frame rate issues when playing the game in the true 3D setting. The laptop I'm running it on is a 3 year old MSI GE60, admittedly, but I don't think the specs are an issue (not as far as I can tell anyway).

Anyway, my specs are:
Intel Core i7 2.4GHz
8GB RAM
GeForce GT 650M

So yeah, I dunno. I've got the latest drivers installed, but the game still runs horribly in true 3D. Dunno if it's just me and my laptop or if the game just doesn't like mobile/notebook graphics chipsets.

Does it fall below 60 fps? (using something like Fraps to check the framerate)

Yeah sorry, I should have been more specific - it's running WAY below 60, more like 10fps for whatever reason. Completely unplayable no matter what resolution I play it on (unless I play in the original 2D state that is).

Check in Nvidia control panel to make sure your video card is actually being used to play the game. It seems like the game is using your Intel HD graphics chipset instead.

I've got the same problem, but my laptop uses AMD. What should I do?

It actually wouldn't wonder me if this is not a game issue but simply a issue of having not good enough hardware. The True 3D function needs a lot of power, WAY more than the original game.

It's a bad port job is what it is. Duke Nukem Forever runs better than this does in true mode. That is usually above 60, this heap drops into the 20s when ran in the true 3d mode with occlusion enabled. The framerate difference is night and day.

Fortunately for people like me who like crusty, ugly old games to stay looking like crusty, ugly old games you can fix the mouse lag and framerate issues by simply disabling the true mode. Which makes a pricetag less than 5$ pretty reasonable.

Would I ever suggest buying this for the full tag price? Hell no.

Completely agree with this.
My computer may be underpowered, but surely not to the point where it should struggle with fu***n DN3D!

Though as cool as the True 3D Mode may be in concept, it has clearly had a poor optimization job to some extent.
