How do I age my Hen hens and Roostros?
I wanna make elder hen hens and elder Roostros. But I can't seem to make the game to do it. I've tried trapping a number of hen hens in a carrol with a group of slimes that won't eat them but no matter how many days pass they don't age over being at an adult stage. Yet in the wild, I found rarily and randomly elder verisons of both. I unlocked everything in the game so far. And I also hunt for Golden Slime to feed him, but other than that I don't know what to do. So if anyone knows how to age Hen hens & roostros to their elder form, I'd love it if you would share it please.

Just sit them in a coop and take out over-populated chickens and eventually a old hen or rooster should appear.

Okay. I'll try that :) Thank you.

I believe they form based off the number of children they have. Aka Once a rooster or hen hen has enough kids they become elder roostros and henhen's kind of as a balancing mechanic to force you to go out and get more henhens and roostros for your coop.

So in the Overgrowth expansion, can those hen hens and roostros age?

I'm not so sure because some of the nests around have occasionally spawned elder roostros and hen-hens

If you're after elder roosters and hens, it can be tricky. Roosters in my experience are gonna turn elderly more often before any of the hens you have because you put one or two in a pen and they usually stay there until they get old.

Where as with the hens you constantly need to move around as to not over populate an enclosure. Then you use them for food or whatever, so hens are constantly being moved around and it's impossible to keep track of which ones are about to go elderly unless you wanna sit there and keep track of every single one.

Only thing I can suggest is making multiple pens and out all your hens between them when primary pens become over populated. You'll be more likely to see elder hens that way.

your best bet would probably be to try and have two coops, one for a henhen and roostro, and another to put chickadoos in. Basically have the hen and roostro in a coop, and suck out any chicks before they can age, let em grow up in a side coop, then when the hen and rooster finish aging, swap for new hen/rooster and repeat.

Oh, okay. I'll try that next time. I never tried that. Thank you :)
