Quantum Slimes....
Any sugestions on how to deal with these? They seem to run away no matter what I do..

or are they duplicating and the duplicates pass through the walls?

Quantum slimes do quantum tunneling; an image of the slime will pass through walls and things. They'll do that all the time unless you squirt them with water.

As long as they're happy, well-fed, and so on, the slime will stay where they are and just generate the images. If they're unhappy, though, they'll teleport to where the image is.

Thanks!
I added a machine to keep them constantly fed, with a reliable food source, plus a toy and music. Unless I've overcrowded them, I think they're good to go!

I mix the phosphor and quantum slimes together and then free roam in the cave with a couple lemon trees in there to feed them. never had any escape yet

Good to know, thanks! At this point I have more of their plots than I need, so I scaled down their population. I also discovered advanced drones, so I’m investing in those.

This is good to know, I have considered doing this but was worried that they would all escape. Thanks!

If you have too many, they can escape from the Grotto, but it takes a while for that to happen.

I have a whole room dedicated to Quantum Largos (40 total). So long as you keep them fed (overfed in my case), even when they ghost outside their enclosure, they will stay put.

Seems like a lot of people keep a Lot of them around, but how come? I've got 999 of their plots in my refinery and haven't found any use for them, and they only sell for around 50 each. Money has never been a major hindrance.

I just like them. I think they are neat to watch, especially when you have different largo's ghosting around the room. But they are a high maintenance slime, unless you find a way to completely automate their feeding... which I don't think you can, so it kind of makes you have to babysit them the most.

They seem very picky, and even when there’s a lot of food available, some can’t reach it, so they get upset and leave.
Water can’t be automated to the bots, so, no, full automation is impossible.. Even if all you had was a room full of fruit trees and bots to pick up the plots from free roaming slimes, someone still needs to put water in the machines.

I mixed them with tabby and put them in the wild area. works really well because the free chickens and free fruit to trade with for lemons. it's always easy to get tabby from the area next to the wild. fill a corral with tabby then force feed one a quantum plort, force feed it a chicken hit the plort collector force feed quantum plort to the rest of the tabbys, they will phase and get out so let them, so just add tabbys as needed and force feed them quantum plort. my robot is set to put wild chickens in the auto feeder my other robot is set to collect plorts that fall on the ground from the quantum tabbys geting out. they have 2 puzzles and 2 balls of yarn in their corral. quantum tabby is the only slime I have in the wild. if the corral is 1/4 way full and looking kind of empty just put in a gun full of tabby or what ever tabby you can easily find if you got the 100 gun. in slime rancher 2 they should add some sort of PETA that shuts cruel high production factory farmers down.

i did that but with hunter slimes they work well with it too

Keep them well fed, they only pass through pass to get food when they are hungry.
Feed them fruit if they are pure quantom slimes.

They tend to make what I call quantum clones its a duplicate that phases through space and time you cant interact with them the best way to keep the slimes themselves in the pen is to count them to make sure a set amount is always in there and keep them fed with phase lemons I think they are called just keep a steady supply of those at all times and they'll stay put I have 6 quantum slimes and had no issues with them at all.
