You gotta do Ogden's Retreat that side job request happens early in the game. He'll give you prizes for your slimes for gathering some special fruits for him that are only in the Wilds. He'll set you up with the teleporter to the area as well and a teleport back home. In the Wilds are where the saber slimes are. But warning, they are feral! So have a jetpack and good power core. You can't get little Saber slimes. But if they get fed, they'll drop plorts of course :D And you can take those plorts home. ^u^ And Saber slimes aren't aggressive, so you don't have to worry about them destorying your rancher by escaping their corral. They are docile slimes I was told :3 Good luck :D And have fun :D

one thing- how you start that quest
the wilds are accessed after you talk to ogden at the retreats unique range exchange, you unlock the retreat after reading a star mail from ogden that has 3 criteria that must be met in order to obtain it, being unlocking the over growth and moss blanket along with completing a range exchange with ogden

i got mine as soon as it updated because i have an older save... i would recommend simply progressing through the game, maybe focusing your trades toward ogden. sell lotsa plorts, explore all the areas, read all of the letters left by the previous ranch owner. should get ogden's invite to his ranch in the mail.

also, saber slimes are actually extinct and cannot be gathered and raised. rather, you can only get their plorts from saber largos in the wilds of ogden's ranch. so you can make your own saber largos, but there is no actual pure saber slime in-game.

It's on the wiki. To unlock Ogden's Retreat, you must:
1. COMPLETE a trade with Ogden.
2. GO INTO the Moss Blanket (legitimately)
3. BUY the Overgrowth.
The teleporter to Ogden's Retreat is on the way to the Overgrowth.

Make sure the trade is done last

You'll start the Retreat after you had owned the Overgrowth expansion. For me, Ogden starmailed me on day 16 about this Retreat mission. Then the teleporter on your way to the Overgrowth should be activated for the side mission.

You know you've answered this post like a month ago right?

Nah. But, if playing on an older save, then the trade is done last because you'll already have the other two done. If you play on a new save, however, they can be done in any order.

Not from my experience, and from some other reports.

Ok. Sorry. It usually happens that the trade is done last, because Ogden's FIRST trade ALWAYS comes on the 4th day. Usually, you have the other two requirements done last.
