Whatever you do, do not remove the said buttons I warned. If you want them to be assign in other fuctions, use the safer buttons like Alphabets, Arrows, Numbers & Sign buttons that were already assigned in certain function, As I recall my first try on this latest port. Eg.: W (Jump) assign to Space (Hero Details) switches button where Space is now Jump & while W is now Hero Details
Still I don't see any reason why one couldn't use a regular keyboard. The mouse isn't really even needed.
how about taking the stick out of your ass?
confirm if you can rebind them
I put on custom control, and click on binding 01 and 02 and I can't seem to do anything. Bug, or am I missing something obvious?
Some advice to make this playable on mouse and keyboard:
-Uncheck the option to use the mouse to move. This will replace left mouse button's move command with light attack and right mouse button's use prompt for heavy attack. This makes K&M MUCH easier to play with instead of having to awkwardly fumble with WASD movement while pressing 1-4 on the keyboard.
-Speaking of 1-4... 3 is 'jump' and the alternate key is the space bar. I highly recommend using space bar instead of pressing 3. 4 is also the use key and the alternate key is 'e'. Pressing 'e' is far less awkward than pressing 4.
-The game unfortunately has atrocious QTEs involving bomb defusal. I had forgotten about this crap. When these come up I recommend using 1 hand with a finger on each number key. Far easier than say, pressing space bar for '3' prompts and/or 'e' for '4' prompts.
-Some dummy decided that in the menus Left Control would be used for BOTH assigning powers AND swapping characters. A work around for this is to keep pressing the key so it cycles through all 4 characters and each time it brings up a new character the power selection will stay up.
If anyone knows of a way to edit some sort of .ini file to fix this issue PLEASE let me know which one...
I'm going to eventually pick up a wired 360 controller to play games like this and the Dark Souls series on. All of these are decent to great games but the ineptitude of their handling of mouse and keyboard support is unforgivable. Going to eventually give this game and any Dark Souls title I play that doesn't offer proper M&K support negative reviews. I guess we should feel lucky we get these games at all in these states? Ridiculous.
I seen this coming a mile away. It's why I asked for confirmation.
