Using wallpaper engine on a server

Howdy,

Just wondered if anyone has used wallpaper engine on a server.

Whenever I try I get a message of 'Wallpaper Engine cannot apply because it cannot properly identify your monitors' yet it correctly displays the dual setup and the resolution?

So annoying :(

I know this might not help you with your monitor problem but imho a tool like Wallpaper Engine doesn't belong on a productive system. We use Supermicro Servers for example and they come with such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internal gpus that you can be happy to even see the normal Windows desktop let alone a desktop with WPE.

In our case it just doesn't matter because these machines are not built for using fun stuff. We run several Proxmox installations on them and for this use case these internal graphics are just fine.

You can try and use any of the other "monitor identification" options in the "General" tab of the settings. Since you provided no technical specifications it's hard to comment on this but it sounds like some weird driver / operating system issue. Using the monitor identification option "Layout" may help here.
