Are you stretching the wallpaper across both monitors? If yes, then your total resolution is 4480x1440. So a wallpaper that is only 2560x1440 won't have enough pixels if you want perfect quality.

If that's not what you mean, please share a desktop screenshot (both monitors) and maybe also a link to the wallpaper for comparison.

Do you have any wallpaper subscribed that has some kind of particle effect that follows the mouse cursor or avoids the mouse cursor? (Not any parallax effect.)

It would help to check which monitor will have the effect reacting to the mouse, since only one of them should react to it when the other is cloned.

i have one but this one doesnt follow my cursor tho

Please try it with this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1425503532

The characters will "avoid" the cursor, so the question is on which monitor does that work? It should only work on the one that is being used as the source monitor.

they dont avoid my cursor on both monitors and the "purple sunset" one im using isnt a reactive wallpaper

Then please try this one, the particles here react more obviously than the pac man characters which just move slowly:

I do understand, I realize this is confusing but I was hoping it would be easy to check.

With clone mode, only one wallpaper is real. The other one is a copy. So what I need to know is if the program has put the real wallpaper on your large monitor and then copies it to the smaller one or if the real wallpaper is on your small monitor and the large one is the copy.

I hope this makes sense?

If the real wallpaper is on the small monitor then I know what the issue is: the wallpaper is only rendered at 1080p and then copied to your large monitor.

And this test would answer that question. What you described is exactly correct, only one monitor will have the mouse react to the particles. But unfortunately you still didn't tell me which monitor reacts to the particles. Can you please tell me that? Does the 1440p monitor react to the particles or the 1080p?

both of them react even tho i only moved my mouse on one of them

so i cant do that one monitor shows the wall paper in 1080 and the other in 1440?
