Error: Encountered boost filesystem exception.

I get this error when I try to change the video file in the wallpaper editor.

What exactly doesn this errror mean and why do I get it?

Also I get a blank screen after selecting a new video file, the project seems to be bugged out.

I did overwrite the old video file with the new one, could it be that it can't find the old one and that gives the error. In that case how would I tell it to chill out and accept teh new file?

For some reason Wallpaper Engine cannot access that file, the error you copy-pasted does not really include any details. Go to that directory and see if the file exists and is writable, it could also be that you overwrote the file while starting Steam / Wallpaper Engine as administrator which can cause file permission errors.

If possible, try copying the project files into a new project and see if that solves the file access issues for you.
