Bad screen tearing
Hi, I have been experiencing screen tearing on wallpapers especially with the ones which are videos such as anime openings. This has been a consistent problem since I purchased wallpaper engine. I have tried following the steps on the pinned FAQ + SUPPORT by setting the preferred graphics processor to integrated graphics (which is the defult and only option for me) but it does not work. I am using the Acer Predator 17 and here are the specs if necessary:

CPU: 2.6GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ (quad-core, 6MB cache, up to 3.5GHz with Turbo Boost)
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M (4GB GDDR5 RAM), Intel HD Graphics 530
RAM: 16GB DDR4 (2,133 MHz, expandable to 64GB)
Screen: 17.3-inch, 1,920 x 1,080 IPS LCD
Storage: 128GB PCIe NVME SSD, 1TB HDD (7,400 RPM)
Ports: 4x USB 3.0, 1x USB 3.1/Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, SD reader, headphone jack, microphone jack
Connectivity: Killer Wireless-AC 1535 , Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.2, Blu-Ray drive
Camera: Front-facing 1,280 x 720 webcam
Weight: 8.71 pounds (3.95 kg)
Size: 16.65 x 12.6 x 1.56 inches, 42.3 x 31.5 x 3.95 centimeters (W x D x H)

One thing to note is that the laptop doesn't support G-Sync for the built-in display which I think is the root cause of the problem but I haven't been able to find any concrete evidence for this. Also, I appologize if I might not know certain terms and processes as I am relatively new to pc gaming.

You can set your GPU permanently with V-Sync on that should solved your problem.
Are you familiar with nvidia inspector? Perhaps you could use it to set a frame rate cap on wallpaper engine and see if that fixes it. If you need a hand feel free to ask.

Wallpaper engine usually caps the fps to your monitor's refresh rate.

V-Sync is already on in the 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and set V-Sync to "force on" in NVIDIA inspector but it did not fix the tearing.

Try deleting the Wallpaper Engine profile in the Nvidia Control Panel and then start it without Steam from here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\wallpaper32.exe

Do you only have this issue on the external monitor?

In general it seems to happen when the video is decoded by a different GPU than explorer.exe/DWM.exe is using, so I would have expected it to work with at least one of the GPUs.
