Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

It is the realm of hack critics to say a work induced some kind of physical response, but Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is genuinely sickening, my eyes hurt after playing it and I had to lay down. This game is grime, ugly, vile, murky, mean, bloody, and I love it.
It is my belief that you cannot make a game this bad, this literally hard to play, by accident. You can see genuine artistry on display in things like the scene composition, but most of the game is an actual assault on the player. Shot entirely as if it were found footage with horrendous shakey cam, lens flares, 67 FoV, even quality degradation in smoke like a real camcorder, it's amazing, I want to throw up! The only music in the game is muffled Chinese pop music you can hear on radios within the game itself.
Much stronger than Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, a rather boring game, this sequel builds on a lot of the tired 7th gen slop people expected in 2010 to deliver it's vertigo inducing story. I feel I really should hate the 2 titular characters, they are awful people however the writers use the very limited character moments offered by the story to make them into real, if psychotic people.
The entire game can be played in co-op over the internet, which I did with my long suffering girlfriend. We clocked a time of dead on 4 hours.
