Integrated media playing wallpaper not working with win11 wmp

So I downloaded a wallpaper wich display cover+title of the media currently playing. And it's working perfeclty with spotify but with the windows media player from win11 it display only the title like one time in ten and I never saw any of the cover, I already tried to block every other media which could be playing and creat conflict but it doesn't seems to be very useful.
If someone already had this problem or has an idea to fix this, I would be very thankful.

Do you have a keyboard with media keys (like "next song")? If you press those media keys, do you see a pop-up in the upper left corner by WMP that shows the current song name, cover and all of that? That's basically the data used by Wallpaper Engine and I would start by checking that WMP even properly sends that data to Windows.

Yeah when I use those media buttons the pop up doesn't show up and I'm trying to enable on windows but I can't find how to display it, everything related to this tell me to enable in some app settings but not in windows. But as I said it work fine with Brave (I said spotify but its just an installed web app). And also the WMP win11 settings are such useless it's like :
-libray location
-theme
-look on internet for covers
and that's it, nothing more

I have actually never used the "new" Windows Media Player before and just looked into it. It actually looks like the feature was just removed, unless I am also missing something here. What a weird thing to do by Microsoft.

In that case, I would suggest you just use an alternative media player. If you happen to use Spotify, that should work fairly well if you just install its app and use that as a local media player for example. The "legacy" Windows Media Player should still support it too, it's pre-installed on my version of Windows 11 at least and might be worth a shot.

Okok, yeah the legacy WMP should work but damn it's not very beautiful and since all the music I listen is in local on my pc except if I find any good looking media player I'm kinda stuck with this new WMP, it's not the only wierd thing happening to me with it so i'm not so surprised anymore. Anyway thanks to you for your time

Maybe try AIMP for music and MPC Black Edition for videos to get rid of the Microsoft pests. ^^
