My mouse cursor moves down on it's own
Whenever I open the Wallpaper editor my cursor moves towards the bottom on it's own, which makes creating my wallpapers 10x more difficult. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd very much appreciate it.

Hey, we reported this issue to Steam already. Basically this happens when you have configured Steam to enable your controller for all apps and games. You can fix this issue by right-clicking on Wallpaper Engine in Steam, then click on "Properties" and then navigate to the "Controller" tab. From there, change the option to "Disable Steam Input". Steam will now stop forcing your controller input into Wallpaper Engine.

Do you guys have a PS4 or PS5 controller connected by any chance? If so try to unplug it and check your mouse movements. I read about some weird mouse movements in combination with an update for the big picture mode in Steam. It's worth a try.

Wow, can't believe that was causing the issue of all things lmao. Unplugged my PS4 controller and it no longer moves on its own, thank you!

No problem, you're welcome. Read about a similar problem in another forum and thought I'd post it here so it maybe solves the problem. Gladly it did. :cozybethesda:

I had this bug as well, my playstation 4 hori fightstick would drag down my mouse cursor when it was plugged in and I was in wallpaper engine creator mode doesn't seem to happen when in the user mode just browsing wallpapers to download. I tested it again today and my cursor no longer drags downward when my controller is plugged in so maybe it's fixed. Can either of you confirm?

Just tested it again and it still happens. Should note that for me it never happened when browsing for wallpapers, it only happens in the editor when working on a wallpaper with the PS4 controller plugged in.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Furthermore this seems to affect only wireless gamepads. I use an old school XBox 360 controller that is USB connected and nothing happens in the WPE editor when the controller is plugged in.

When you say wireless gamepads are you referring to gamepads that support wireless connection or gamepads that are currently wirelessly connected? I assume the former because while I know I can wirelessly connect my ps4 controller, I pretty much exclusively use it connected by USB because I don't like the hassle of disconnecting it from my ps4 before using it.

My gamepad is connected with a usb cable and has no option to be used without the cable because you cannot remove it. ^^

This might be just a stick drift.
