Help with transparent images
I wanted to make a wallpaper combining a gif with the normal windows background, my plan was to put the gif behing the window of the default background. My problem is that transparency just doesn't work, I get white squares on the parts I deleted (through paint.net) and now I get a kind of blurred thing after I tried using solidify-B filter in photoshop as suggested by another post.

Any ideas? Hope I managed to explain thing clearly haha

Hey, it sounds like this is your problem, check this thread out (even if it's not about paint.net, it's still relevant):

You could try to use .tga instead of .png and see if that makes the problem go away for you. Let me know if I misunderstood your problem and maybe share your source image files.

Had the same problem, some weird behaviour where i saved the Solidify-B´d picture as png with alpha channel but after importing to WE the transparency was gone and instead the colors of the solidify effect in Photoshop showed up as transparency.

Good news is you can solve this by saving your transparent picture as a Photoshop psd file and import that into WE. Works like a charm in my case and i use it ever since. ^^
