Wallpaper Engine

Vezi statistici:
Audio Visualiser only working on one wallpaper
Recently got the Razer Kraken X and audio visualisers didnt work due to the software. So I read the "how to fix" and it fixed only one single wallpaper, the 'Sound Splitter' wallpaper. I have no idea how to fix this issue, used the 4th option in the launching sequence and comes back with nothing, disabled ALL razer and any sound altering software, cleaned the pc with software for anything and reinstalled wallpaper engine and all wallpapers, yet to no avail.

Can you give an example of a wallpaper which does not work? It should not be possible to fix only one wallpaper while the others remain broken, they all use the same Wallpaper Engine resources.

Does this wallpaper work for you:

Nope doesn't work, also i play my music through spotify (app) and youtube (google chrome). I have also realised that in the wallpaper that does work, it looks like it builds up the sensitivity. Even at intense parts of the song the visualiser starts off low then builds up to normal.
I have no idea whats going on.

Some audio visualizers have an "idle" feature, are you maybe getting confused by that? Can you run our scan tool and share the log file as described here:

Theres the paste, and also to add, when going to the next song the visualiser goes crazy and goes idle animation and sort of lags behind before visualising the song.

Can you double-check all the audio input devices in the "General" tab of the Wallpaper Engine settings if you have not already? Just cycle through them while listening to music and see if it starts working. Also, check the Windows audio mixer and make sure that Wallpaper Engine is not muted or set to a very quiet volume - the playback volume of Wallpaper Engine also affects its recording volume (that's just how Windows kinda works).

Please use the wallpaper I linked above because it's a "Scene" and the most reliable type of wallpaper.

If that is not it, I strongly assume it's related to those two Razer processes which are still active in your System32 directory:

RZSurroundHelper.exe C:\Windows\System32\RZSurroundHelper.exe RZSurroundService.exe C:\Windows\System32\RZSurroundService.exe

Can you check if you still have some sort of Razer surround application enabled? Maybe try to do a clean re-installation of all required Razer software (uninstall Synapse and others and then download the latest Synapse 3 from their website after restarting your PC). Especially older versions of Razer software are a bit iffy and stick around in the Windows version from my experience, so maybe that's it. You should check that those two processes are really gone after uninstalling.

Ok, it worked after uninstalling every bit of razer and downloading Synapse 3. Thank you so much for the help, it seemed that the razer 7.1 surround sound might have had some hidden file interfering with it or something, can finally have some responsive wallpapers :winter2019happydog:
