Wallpaper Engine supported files

Anyone know if you can import EXR files? If not I hope the creators of the Wallpaper Engine would see this post. I would like to see support for EXR files. I want to be able to import EXR's of FX from programs like Houdini for my projects. I want to use the app for some projects because it's very nice and very easy to use but because of the lack of support for EXR's I have to turn to After Effects.

Wallpaper Engine is no compositing software so no render passes, crpytomatte, or whatever Houdini packs into an exr file, can be imported. Also you cannot do a proper export with WPE except with some screen recording software. Out of curiosity, what kind of advantage do you expect from importing exr files into the editor?

My guess is that this not going to happen anytime soon. ^^

I can get a better visual and feel for artwork I want to mash together in different ways with this engine for one thing. I've been looking into making a Motion Comic or something of that sort and really want to use this engine for it. The EXR files will let me import images to display effects that I've made in 3D engines into the project like how after effects allows. Thanks for the comment.

Is it just that you want to be able to import .EXR files hassle-free or do you specifically want to leverage the technical implications they might have? We may be able to add an integrated conversion for other formats like .EXR, but this means that special features from .EXR like HDR content is not going to be available.
