metro2033 config file?
Can anybody tell me, where it is? I need it to manually set resolution and Hz, coz my LCD TV for a monitor is a picky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Setting launch parameters won't help, didnt find needed file in game directory and Users folders.
Any ideas?

Thank you, but for some reason parameters I manually enter get overwritten by the game whenever I launch it, so it's back to resolution\refresh rate my monitor doesn't support.

Moreover, every time I launch game, it says that my videocard drivers are outdated, while it's 100% wrong ( I double-checked that)

Strangely enough, I can launch benchmark with no problems at all (thx to that launcher window, where you set your parameters manually. Too bad they do not get applied to actual game). I wish game itself would have that launcher, like benchmark does.

Besides, that cfg file does not have a line for refresh rate. Do I have to type it in manually? But I have no idea what does command look like. Tried too google it, but failed horribly.

Still need your help, people.

Oh right...steam might overwrite it with it's cloud synced copy. You'll have to edit both copies. I should have mentioned that before, sorry.

\Steam\userdata\*usernumber*\43110\remote
C:\Users\*windows user name*\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033

whell, that helped to set resolution, but I still needed to set refresh rate. Googled it, from ALL the solution available only programm "refreshlock" helped.
Now the game runs fine, thank you .

There are 3 user.cfg files on your PC:
1. Users/yourusername/AppData/Local/4A Games/Metro 2033/user.cfg
2. Program Files/Steam/userdata/yoursteamIDnumber/43110/remote/user.cfg
3. Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Metro 2033/user.cfg
what happens if you do not have a subfolder 43110 under Program Files/Steam/userdata/yoursteamIDnumber/?

yeah what if you don't have the 43110 folder

43110 might be a hidden file. Some .cfg’s are but most are not.

If your 43110 folder is hidden and you don't want to thinker arround for too long, just add \43110 at the end of the folder path and there you go
Damn, what a blast from the past. Innocent, simple times.
