i feel tales of berseria is underrated

I just beat this masterpiece the other day and I am really impressed how good this game is.

I mean, fighting mechanics are really similar to dmc or bayonetta. The plot is good and characters are so fun to be with.

I think this game deserves much more spotlight. What do you think about this game and I can only agree with this people say this

Berseria is a pretty good game as far as Tales games go so yes. ... While it doesn't have anywhere near the best combat in the series, the demo is not comparable to the full quality of the game. The game is so much better than the demo and i m not the only one says this

Just a a few small things I wish they did was make so the cast actually put on some simple disguises when going in to town.
It felt kinda dumb when I could just waltz around everywhere and absolutely no one reconized them.
But yes its the best in the series story wise and I wish morally grey casts wasnt so rare in Jrpg games.
Kinda boring to always be the extreme good guys who help everyone.

I mean I feel the Tales series as a whole is underrated by the general gaming community. Specifically Symphonia, Abyss, and Berseria.

Tales is very underrated (or more like mostly unknown). I wouldnt say this game is underrated tho. It was quite popular at launch and got a lot of praise and that was in a year that saw quite a few good japanese releases.

Tales Of Berseria is the most overrated game in the series. Storywise it's much worse than Symphonia, Vesperia or even Eternia. Characters are not as memorable, music is much worse, town design, missing world map...Combat was OK but I still like older combat better like in Symphonia or Vesperia. I was very disappointed with this game personally. Not a bad game, but I'd rather by some other Tales game again.

Character interactions is one of the things Berseria does really well and the story is also one of its better aspects. I found them both to be pretty good.

The somewhat limited release of the game is probably the problem, only PC / PS4 in the west. If they had localized the PS3 version or ported it to Switch / XBox One like they did with Vesperia DE a lot more people would have played it.

i actually feel the complete opposite way. i feel like its way overrated compared to past entries in the series.

Really? I see people constantly rate this rather low, obviously above Zesteria but inbetween Xillia1/2 and Vesperia.

From what ive seen Berseria seems to be fairly well rated. Not by everyone ofcourse. People that rate it low seem to be pretty rare atleast. (unlike Zesteria)

fighting in this is NOTHING like dmc or bayonetta. It couldnt be further away, literally nothing alike......... like at all, like nothing about it is even remotley similar. like like like

Combat isn't that good, all you need to do is a make stun loop, regardless if its the same arte or not

and a loop for power hit or weakness but mostly stun
