Is there a way to change the frame rate limit?
So I want to play on 144 FPS, but the settings only allow me to play on max 60 FPS. Is there any mod or ways to change this?

According to the PC Gaming Wiki, unfortunately no. https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tales_of_Berseria

There's even an official announcement about a 60fps lock: https://steamcommunity.com/games/429660/announcements/detail/690573973593834276

That's quite the shame. We aren't living in 2010 anymore, so I don't see why games have to be locked to a meager 60 FPS. Who even owns 60Hz monitors anymore?

Me.... But of course, I am not a foolish mortal, who has been persuaded by the malevolence of high frame rates! Who needs such rubbish, when the old ways are best! A JRPG needing more than 60fps? Even a frugal 30 would suffice!

What blasphemy, as why would one think to ponder, that this game requires headshots in order to win? Is this some wretched FPS? Will your mortal life surely meet its end, if you don't get your 120fps?!?!?!

Such Nonsense!... Repent your sins whilst you can! Blessed be thy Empyreans, for they guide us on towards the True Path of gaming!!!

Polls that I've seen tend to indicate that even among gamers, around 20% of people have a monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz (example: https://techreport.com/news/31542/poll-what-the-resolution-and-refresh-rate-of-your-gaming-monitor) . So... almost everybody.

a higher frame rate doesn't always equal better performance, heck in some cases it actually makes the game run worse..

alot of games are designed with a 30 or 60 FPS framerate in mind, you push higher than that and it can cause anything from physics bugs (ala Skyrim), or making some games near impossible due to attack speeds being tied directly to framerate (meaning enemies would be doing twice the damage they are meant to)

Yeah there are also polls that say 55% of gamers are female, so forgive me If I don't trust polls

I love how guys really think there are so few female gamers. Wake up and smell the estrogen. We play.

Female players really are rare though. Once you remove grandmas playing solitair, and bored workers playing candy crush during their lunch break the actual percentage of female gamers is slim at best. In all my years of gaming i've only ever heard one or two females on the mic

probably your choice in games, I know plenty of women who play games.. mostly RPG's and MMO's, but also know several who are in to fighting games and grand strategy games.. funnily enough, none of the women I know play FPS titles..

so yeah, plenty of women play games.. heck, last time I was up at EBGames for a midnight release half the line were female (judging by their age, university students)..

the "girls don't play games" statement is a major misconception, attributed mainly to marketing campaigns in the mid to late '90s.

i actuality, there really aren't any hobbies that are gender specific

ohh, and you still haven't adressed the following post:

what's there to address? I've literally never had any problems like that whatsoever, so I really don't know what you mean. I always keep my FPS capped at 144 for any games I play. It triggers me how they keep they keep the frame rate capped so low in this game, but it's not too much of a problem for a JRPG.

Un-lock. How? How to fix dumbness of stupid developers?

I've got a beast of a rig, OC'ed, yet I play on a 60Hz monitor. Also, I play a lot of VR games, so part of the time the monitor isn't even used.
