Can't trigger Velvet's 3rd mystic arte

I've gotten her nightmare claw triggered multiple times, but never been able to trigger it into her 3rd mystic arte even while have 5-6 BG. Something else I'm missing other than high BG nightmare claw and decent combo going?

Many people seem to misread the trigger condition for the extra soul breaks for velvet and do an other one of the basic break instead, as the others require a specific amount of artes before using them, so double check that you are actually using the right break.

Nope it's definitely nightmare claw after 3 artes and portrait is flashing - is there a level requirement?

If you are doing everything the description says, I can't help you.

I mean, I am still on the volcano and barely reached the last save point of the zone, so I don't have access to third mystic artes yet.

I just figured it would be good to double check you were using the right break, because it's so easy to use consuming claw because you used one more arte without thinking about it.

1. You did trigger the Mystic Arte RIGHT AFTER the Nighmare claw right?
2. You sure you we're using Nightmare claw the move with insane combo right? not Heaven or hell claw?

If you really did this then I can't help you any further since I have no idea what went wrong

Yes and yes. I don't technically have the mystic arte in my move list figured it was a hidden arte or something so maybe it's just that you have to be certain level AND have the break available, which seems really stupid to me but not sure what else it could be.

What level are you now? I remember I beat the boss at level 80 and immediately got the mystic arte, and also check your status screen check if the mystic artes in the "Next Arte Learn"

Edit: Click the character at the menu screen to check the status in case you don't know

3rd ma can be triggered if you have the pulsing red icon, thats the only requirement.

In order to perform all three Mystic Artes, you'll need to press and hold R (if you're using keyboard, which I main used), once the first Mystic Artes is used, get at least 3 combos in-bewteen, then perform the Mystic Artes again immediately after. Rinse and repeat. At least it works for me that way.

It takes a bit of practise.

You need to keep therion form for more than 20 seconds and to chain at least 3 artes before you activate the 3rd mystic arte.

Have you unlocked it in final dungeon? you must collect orbs and fight optional bosses to get them. If you did then I don't know how to help you, try it on dummy minigame

I always did this MA during animation of nightmare claw, you don't need to wait it to finish

Holding R during nightmare class - goes straight into her 2nd MA

i did press L2 during animation and got 3d MA like 4 times.

I mean for 2nd MA you need 8+ combo, but for 3d MA you need to wait in therion form, i obv didn't do 8 hit combo before executing nightmare claw, so i technically couldn't get 2nd MA

If You're talking about her 3rd High Ougi then You can trigger it. By staying in Your break soul form for 20seconds after those 20seconds You will hear special yell from velved that means You can trigger her 3rd high ougi right ater her 3rd soul break combo. To trigger 3rd soul break combo after 20sec in therion form just do 3 whichever attacks press button for soul break then she will start clawing enemy then button for high ougi and You will do 3rd high ougi.

Orbe unlock the third break soul not the MA.
What lvl are you? If you don't have the MA in your move list, then you have to lvl up. You can see the next arte you will learn in the character descrption.
