Omega elixir side quest question

So just got the sheep egg and they go all lets get this back to whathisname, but no other portion of the side quest is available.... tried going to the inn and he's no there either so not really sure what to do next. Does this become available further in the story or something?

The last part is literally just before the end-game, when a bunch of quests unlock. You'll know when you get there.

Once you unlock last dungeon, you will get more content than you had during the game. Asian game design xD
