Remember the immortal story teller in zestria? *spoilers*
His name was Mayvin.

Later on in this game it is revealed to us that magilou's real name is something like magilanica mayvin.

Is there a connection or just recycling of a name?

zestiria tells you, that the story tellers always have the name Mayvin,so not just recycling but part of the worlds lore

That is so cool I love how the game has like 100 links/references to zestria if you pay attention hard enough.

I wonder if she is the female Mayvin that the zestria story teller sends you on his sidequest for. I dont know its been too long since i played zestria and cant remember clearly. you had to go to recover something from her tomb IIRC.

Don't forget Melchior Mayvin and the Ruins of Melchior in Zestiria :D

Let's also not forget that both Melchior and Magilou have dropped hints that they are insanely old. Melchior didn't age because of an oath, and we can probably assume Magilou has something similar going on (though I don't think her age was as explicitly stated to be outside the norm). So it definitely makes sense that that household could go on to be a pseudo-immortal clan of history keepers. Especially considering the secrets that they would be holding about very important topics in Zestiria like Shepherds, Lords of Calamity, Seraphim, and Empyreons.

yup I agree. I always wonder why magi would spam "lets see how this story unfolds" x 100 but never really picked up on it til like late into my second playthrough lol.

Magilou is a Mayvin (and storyteller is a title of a role bound by oath later on)
As @Eyune mentioned she often says ""Lets see how this story unfolds"
You can often notice in Berseria how she writes something in her book, even in ending cutscene, not to mention she is covered in those books.
Also she is shown in DLC skit of Zestiria if i'm corret (along with Bienfu) traveling thru world

Fact that she interferes the story means she doesn't have same Oath as Zestiria Mayvin had. Her longevity comes from Melchior (also Mayvin) teachings i believe and maybe somewhere in future someone continued this work, taking Oath of immortality and hence gaining title of Storyteller and the process begun.

Her real name is Magillanica Lou Mayvin.
Mayvin is a common title/name shared by all the the storytellers.

By the way, try search for "Magellanica" (not Magillanica) It is mind blowing. Looks like Magilou's character design maybe influenced by the plant.

Spoiler: in the end cinematic, you can see Magilou writing down in a notebook ;)

The real question here...

Since the 'Storyteller of Time' is never mentioned in Berseria... Is Magilou the FIRST Storyteller of time? Recording the true story of the first Lord of Calamity and the First Shepard for future generations since the actual truth wasn't even known as it was happening? Especially the secrets like were revealed at the end of the post-game dungeon (BEFORE the bathhouse scene!)

I guess this means the Mayvin in tales of Zestiria maybe the last Mayvin, since I don't notice wether he have a student/apprentice/protege he picked up there which is kinda sad. unless there maybe one and I did not notice anything about it
