I'm assuming that you're talking about Velvet's Break Soul here. It will end when she either reaches the end of her combo (the amount of artes is equal to the number of souls she has, and that's what "the blue diamonds" are called), or her HP reaches 1. If she has less than 4 souls, then she can only chain less than four artes in a combo, and the finisher will happen at the end of however many artes she can chain at that time.
If you have more than 5 souls then the 5th hit will start over from stage 1.
The combo picks up from stage 1.
The yellow artes are when you hold the button down instead of mash them they will move onto that move. Cool because you dont have to bind the 4 combos down just hold the button.
So how do I make new abilities able to be yellow so i can hold it down?
Do the white boarders have a in game term/name? Also is that the only reason they are there? I noticed they get used up when i use an arte or dash/dodge.
1. The white borders of the soul gauge are your combo limit. They go down by one every time you use an arte or dash (A dash counts as an arte for the combo), and come back when you finish the combo. So at three soul chunks you can use three artes in a row. If you have five, the fifth attack with be the from the first skill row again.
2. Soul break only requires more than two soul chunks to do. Velvet's is a bit different as hers works sort of like a buff as well, but the only requirement is having three or more soul chunks to do the soul break. That's the same for all characters.
3. I don't know on the yellow names, but Eyune seems to have it.
4. And as a side note the actual blue part of the soul chunks are your stamina. (30 stamina each) that goes down as you use arts, hit guarding enemies, dodge, etc. You can still do stuff with 0 stamina but it's done slower and worse basically.
That makes more sense thank you.
The finisher? Is that the same think as the break arte?
The yellow artes cant be changed.
I call them the "stop velvet from burning herself to death circles", they probably have a legit name but that is all i use them for and i even air swing to get rid of it lol.
Ha ha, I already found out they represent your combo limit.
