So basically the middle mouse button doesn't work in game. Can't heal yourself. Can't dry yourself. Can't get thru the tutorial. What a complete waste of money.

You can in fact take any robe you want in the tutorial (except slower robes). You simply have to cut the rope by pointing at it and then pressing shift+lmb.

I have played the tutorial and have found the game stutters a lot but other games i own like borderlands play fine. Is there a mod or domething to boost my preformance?

It is actually a pretty bad idea of the developers to allow custom robes on the tutorial, they should give you those robes after the tutorial or give a (really big fat) warning when starting the
tutorial to only use the standard robe. But then the idea of those additional robes was implemented after launch and integrated into the game, when designing the base game they probably had no idea of what
