Quest Breaking Bug

Doing the quest for Barret Lewis, where you have to retrieve his box from the building with the three hunters and two large beasts. Well, I looted the body that had the box on it. Then went outside and died to the large beast. When I reloaded in the alley, the quest was set back to "Retrieve the box" but the body is no longer lootable.

Just tested and closing the game and reopening does not fix this bug.

Also, can not revert the save due to the autosaving mechanics.

Commenting to bump this as it received no replies. Is anyone else having this issue?

Maybe try sleeping? Maybe the NPC with the box will respawn.

I just spent so much time searching for the box ... realizing I'm apparently affected by the same bug.

ck your inventory just case...some quest wont complete until you examine said items in you inventory.

Hello,
I confirm that you need to examine the box in order to progress, even without dying, we are forced to check in the box. If you noticed when you looted the box, Jonathan says something about his content.

I've got the same bug, but it isn't really: check the inventory, find the box in the quest items section & read the letter. Quest will continue after that.
