This update includes two new game difficulty modes which add further replayability for existing players, and more options for those who haven’t yet gotten to grips with this dark adventure through 1918 London.

Upon starting a new game, players will be given the option to choose from these two new modes or a third ‘Normal Mode’ if they wish to play the original Vampyr experience.

In addition to the new difficulty modes, the update introduces a host of optimization tweaks and fixes. Nvidia Ansel will also be made available for PC, which allows players to capture beautiful in-game screenshots, viewing and sharing them in 3D on mobile phone, PC or VR Headset. As well as bringing a host of optimization tweaks, the upcoming update will introduce a ‘Story’ mode that de-emphasizes combat and a cranked-up, more challenging Hard mode. The Story mode places a greater focus on narrative, allowing players to experience Dr. Reid’s journey with **less challenging combat**. On the other end of the scale, Hard mode makes combat much more difficult. Players will receive less experience from killing enemies too, forcing them to rely even more on embracing citizens to grow in power.

We're happy to release Vampyr's second update!

This second update concentrates on bug fixes for some issues that we've seen reported over the past couple of weeks, as well as introducing a couple new features.

We continue to read your feedback and suggestions in forums and social networks and you can expect bigger patches in the coming months.

Please find the changelog below:

New Features:

• Scrolling docs with the mouse wheel is now possible when first viewing a doc
  
• Players are now able to move the camera during dialogue using movement keys (default: WASD)

Fixes:

• Performance has been addressed, players should now experience fewer performance issues.
  
• Targeting enemies - The Auto-Lock option has been modified. Set to "On", the mouse can be used to switch targets. If the binding to switch targets is already used (default: mouse wheel up/down), this option will be disabled. Set to "Off": The mouse won't be usable to switch targets. Only the binding to switch targets will be available (default: mouse wheel up/down)
  
• The issue where players would be unable to enter The Morgue is now fixed.
  
• Fixed an issue that prevented players from crafting more serum than they could carry, which would result in serum not being refilled when dying. Excess serum will now be stored in the stash, and if there is serum in the stash when dying, the player's stock will be refilled. This also applies to ammunition.
  
• The stash now properly indicates the quantity of items store in it.

Thanks for your help last week with the Beta patch to ensure a smooth release today. This first update mainly contains bug fixes of issues you reported in the past weeks, as well as a few features suggested here.

We continue to read your feedback and suggestions in forums and social networks and you can expect bigger patches in the coming months.

Please find the changelog below:

New Features:

• Walk can now be used as a held input or a toggled input.
  
• The Recovering Icon is now properly displayed when a citizen is healing

Fixes:

• Switching targets can now be done with the mouse wheel.
  
• During the cutscene between Dorothy and Darius, Dorothy will now properly be shown. A new playthrough is needed for this.
  
• Fixed an issue where Sean Hampton was stuck in a chair while reloading during certain dialogues.
  
• Fixed an issue where spoiler characters would incorrectly spawn.
  
• Fixed an issue where Tom Watts’s sidequest would be blocked while performing a medical checkup mid-choice
  
• Fixed an issue where players were able to escape the map in Southwark
  
• Optimised the in-game menus
  
• Fixed an issue where in-game and in-menu serum icons were inverted.
  
• Fixed an issue where players were unable to change inventory page using KB/M
  
• Green flickering should no longer occur
  
• Fixed an issue where Camelia’s dialogue would stay locked, even with all hints unlocked.

How To Fix Low Level Fatal Crash Error

An issue where LowLevelFatalCrash errors was identified. To fix this issue, you will need to download new drivers for your Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics card for Windows 10. To do this, follow the steps below.

• Click 'win64_24.20.100.6136.zip' button under Available Downloads.
  
• Save and open 'win64_24.20.100.6136.zip' file from Downloads.

• Close the file.
  
• Right click on the Windows Start button > Device Manager > Display adapters.
  
• Right click on Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 > Uninstall device.
  
• Check Delete the driver software for this device and click Uninstall.
  
• Restart the computer.
  
• Right click on the Windows Start button > Device Manager > Display adapters.
  
• Right click on Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 > Update driver.
  
• Click Browse my computer for driver software.
  
• Click Browse... button then select Downloads and click OK.
  
• Click Next.
  
• Once the driver installed, click Close.

Every one of Vampyr’s citizens is part of an interconnected social web, and the fate of one citizen in a social circle will impact all the others, as well as the direction of the narrative. Each citizen has their own story, life and personal goals, some will ask you for help, some will agree to sell you rare items – and every last one can be spared or sacrificed in Reid’s quest.

Reid is a vampire, and the fastest way to evolve and unlock new supernatural abilities for combat is by drinking the blood of the living. In Vampyr, it’s not “Do I kill?” but “Who do I kill?”. Deadly encounters plague the doctor’s journey, and each citizen offers a tempting source of power… but there will be consequences.

Each of the four main districts have health status linked with the number of living, dead and sick citizens. By feeding sparingly and keeping the populace healthy with crafted medicines, balance can be maintained.

However, if the health gauge drops too low, the district will be lost to supernatural creatures along with every quest, shop and citizen that once lived there. If every district of London falls, the game can still be played to completion, though with an outcome that suits such recklessness.

Your actions will save or doom London.
