Uh you're actually looking on the wrong side if you want to see where the majority of the Scots were. There's a reason why Ewan McGregor can easily imitate a southern accent over a hard New York one. Honestly there's a lot of feeling among southern scot/irish that the reason the issues between the North and South continue on into almost every facet of life, not just slavery/racism, is because the English majority colonies are North and the Scot majority colonies were South.
Also who else names an organization clan? Who else is so predisposed to not trust the government? Who else fights rebellions so readily? Why do you think the Confederate Battle Flag looks like the Scottish flag? We have people over here who think your flag is just a proto confederate flag if we try to fly it.

https://discord.gg/SZJQN9RR - 65th IL 'Second Scotch regiment' if you want to play in a regiment that is kinda Scottish
Sorry to ask, but why are you referring to kilts? No one yet has mentioned kilts in this discussion but yourself.
He was just asking about the regiment, and another poster posted that they are in fact meant to be coming, as a kickstarter backer reward.
That said, I was preempting any comments about others hoping to get their kilts. :)
Oh yeah fair enough, I was guessing that that was just more about the information about the regiment the OP was asking about, rather than expectation for battle kilts haha xD you'd actually have a hard time making it look realistic without having the fabric be like a flag and have separate physics to blow in the wind or when ragdolled in death.. and that could lead to some exposure of naughty bits too hahah. Or a weird lack thereof.
Also the photo is of real peeps not player model, but I thought it would only be a formal outfit for the photo op personally, but could understand it might lead some people to think that that was a battle uniform.. https://i0.wp.com/www.military-history.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/79th-NYSM-group.jpg?ssl=1
The guy on the right's beard is amazing though.
