WTF is wrong with the Burst!!!
no matter how much I chase her she keeps running away, I tried pinning her down about 10 times in row. Send help

My strat is to get her right after she takes a shot. Use the cover near her to bait out the shot then dash in for some damage.

Yup, can confirm that in order to be able to hurt her in the first three phases, you have to let her fire a sniper shot first. Then quickly shoot her with the pistol. If you take too long to approach her, she'll move, and if you approach her before she fires the shot, she'll stop and move. On the third one, she will still run after shooting her, but she runs to the center platform, follow her and it'll start the fight on that one.

A neat little tip for finding her too, use parry. You'll turn to face in her direction.

It's more approaching her as she's aiming rather than after she's taken a shot, that'd be more reliable imo. Getting too close when she's vulnerable is what makes her reposition. Moving about half way between her and the centre of the map seems to be the distance that gets her upset, so hang around there and coax her to take aim with the laser sight, then close the rest of the distance and use a wall on the platform she's on to block her shot

if you enter the platform she is on, she will immediately leave unless she is either aiming or just fired a shot.
ideally, you get behind one of the pillars while she is aiming, charge up your melee attack and dash at her as soon as she fires.

Chasing her down is pure tedium and makes the fight boring. You spend more time running around then actually fighting the actual boss. Really poor design choice to have her run away so easily.

It's a boss rush game with all the filler and mobs left out. Then they make a boss that runs away at the drop of a hat so you spend a huge portion of the fight running through an empty arena looking for her.

Most of the game is often brilliant. But she's a real misfire of a design. Most of the rest of the bosses are fun to fight and learn. She's not. She feels like a ton of artificial "difficulty" (you can't actually see her and have to chase her down constantly) that is designed not to be challenging and fun, but aggravating by prolonging actually just getting to fight her.

Basically, predict where she is off-screen, then start shooting before you get to her.

She's probably my least favorite boss. Her fight isn't difficult, its just mildly annoying. She relies more on gimmicks that aren't difficult to figure out, than test of combat skill. Not very fun. Except for the last phase which is only difficult because it lasts way too long.
