troops
I keep seeing posts about people having troops, but i don't have any and i can't figure out where to hire them. Please help! and the last post talking about troops was back in july.

Troopers aren't added yet. What people are reffering to is trooper system from previous game, and they are right - in Warlords we'll have a similar system. Mainly, depending on your ship size/class, you'll be able to hire and keep a certain number of troopers. They can be used to transport and attack enemy ship by boarding it. Essentially, if successfull, you could take over enemy ship or sabotage it without destroying it. After that you'll be able to take command of it or tow it to nearest friendly station and sell it. And, once implemented , troopers will be hired on stations and friendly planets

thank you for the response. Is there an estimated eta on when this system will be implimented? It was my favorite part of the previous games, and I know I'm not alone in that. Can you go into any details of what changes are being made to the boarding system?

I'm hoping in the next update, but we'll see. I can't say that's 100% certain at this time. We'll likely post the upcoming features (in the next update) in a week or two so you'd know in advance.

you should add trooper training academies to improve the quality of troops enhancing the ability of smaller ships to capturing a prize ship =p

Yeah some perks or maybe even a station wing that add troops training would be cool. Hell I know this is a long strech but maybe even adding loadouts to troops squads would be cool and maybe cutscenes when you take over a station/ship would be cool also but would add more than just click click and now we have there ship type of thing. Cutscenes would maybe make those troops feel more important hell even a troop commander on your ship that could level up would be cool. Anyway just a sugestion.

In combat I usually attempt a (transport) to a marked target. Sometimes a system on the target fails. Engines, weapons or shields are shut down. Most often transport fails. But if I do not try I will gain no advantage

hey that would be pretty interesting, to have a troop commander that levels up and gets better at taking over ships and/dropping shields before you start shooting :) maybe even have different troop commanders that you can hire, with different specializations and such, for people that have a preference! hmm..

I have been waiting for this since EA start... I so much hope you will get this in, cause then I will start play testing EA!

I know, you have been asking about it. And yes, it will come, I think of you every update we release tons of content, but not Boarding. Then I hide somewhere and wait until the dust settles. :)

Hehe. Kidding, but yes, you know it's coming, I just can't give exact date because it's plenty of work.
