Way to skip the prologue?

I wanted a new character for the new update just to see what portraits was in the template portrait mod but in the first prologue battle the Icarus turns hostile and kills all friendly ships. After that is just watches passively as the attackers from black oath destroys it.
Can I skip that part and go to character creation?

We just had a quick chat and decided we'll get this bit to you guys tomorrow, as a separate start scenario. That should do it :).

It will be nice to have but I just had to restart the game it seemed. Tried it again and it played out as normal.

Err, MrHellhound1 already made a mod for skipping the prologue.
It's not on Workshop yet, but you can download it from his site.

Glad to hear you solved the issue, but I'm linking it here for other people who might want to skip the prologue.
