Planet siege - how?
Technically i know how to siege a planet but problem is, i always fail - Proxima always jumps away at 75% of charging. I have Battleship and 15k power fleet but still it is not enough. Do i really need fully powered fleet (35k or whatever is the limit) to sucesfuly siege the planet? Are there any differences between ship types in fleet and about how sucesful they are?

Perhaps it's important to mention that there are differences regarding which planet you're assaulting.

But yeah... balancing I'd say is in order...

Just a quick question, what level are you currently?

Olujas Secret Tactics:

  • I suggest, getting atleast Dreadnought and about 20k fleet power fleet with you.
  • Go for Heeland and Fairuz first, seems like they are the easiest, since Heeland has highest class ship Destroyer, and Fairuz has ships up to Cruiser.
  • Don't forget enhancements for yourself.
  • Don't forget to use fighters if you have a hangar.
  • Use your skills as much as you can, as smart as you can. (always use skills on a group) Don't waste your shotgun only on 1 ship. Always use it to hit as many as you can. Use gravity pull to group hostile ships. Use shockwave on as much enemies as possible (never waste it if you are not near Proxima). If shockwave ain't on cooldown, you are doing it wrong. Use on stronger ships, as it bypasses the shields.
  • You have 4 heavy weapons. Use all of them, rapidally switch targets if needed, but all your heavy weapons should be on constant cooldown.
  • Equipment? Seth is a must. You want to have as much Seths as possible near Proxima. Either get 2x Nanobots, or a Nanobot and a Shield Booster. Last Slot should be for damage amplifier. You want to destroy ships fast.
  • Fleet setup. For Planetary Assault i think opting for stronger ship classes is better. I go Dreadnoughts instead of Carriers, since I myself fly a Dreadnought hehe. Destroyers Cruisers are ok.
  • Who to attack after Proxima arrives? Well always target hostile ships near Proxima which target Proxima. Not all ships target Proxima as primary target, so your priority should be ships which attack Proxima.
  • Gravity Pull is the highest lvl skill I use, Next one is Shotgun, Ram while useful in smaller fights, not as valuable as the other 2 in my opinion.

Bonus: Heeland and Fairuz yield large amount of Materials, which will greatly help you in rebuilding your fleet.

Hope this helps :) GL

Maybe....

Tried to Siege NYX 2x now.

1st time got to 50%, second time got to 70%.

I mean- like I said proxy gal is just sitting there soaking all the damage not firing its weapons. Now if it was not hard enough to destroy all Nyxian Consortium- i mean its hard- they attacking every 10min with fleets 20k but the final battle...

Its All Dreads there. I can single handidly take the small guys but there are so many. Nyxian dreads are very hard. they take quite a bit before even their shields go down.

Once you done with the first wave 3 more waves spawn in- each has 4 to 6 Dreads- so do the math. Somehow me and my fleet- which is reduced to half now- managed to beat them- wola! Script takes over and spawns 3 more waves with 4-6 Dreds in each- all fresh and combat ready. Ofc they destroy my remains of my last remaining 2 dreads and all battlecruisers and there I am watching as they punch Proxima high sky in less then 30 secs and yea...

Balance is needed here.

Thinking after a rest taking maybe Palladin and whole lot of ton of Seth spawn and maybe those big nuclear bombs- idk- you only get 5 Supercapitals while the enemy has 12 to 18... Seems fair!

Or maybe cheese it in first wave to get it stuck so script never spawns those waves in hmmmmm

Yeah, some info about me:
Ship: Orion Battleship
Planet i was attacking: Heeland
My Fleet - 5x Asteria MK1, 1x Zodiac MK1

During weapon charging, there are literally hundreds of fighters trying to attack. They are weak and 1 second of concentrated firepower will kill them but with that amount i simply cant catch and kill them all.

I was thinking about using weaker ships but even Zodiac was destroyed (other ships survive) so i am afraid cruisers and weaker classes wont help with this.

So yeah, i guess i need fleet with at least 25K power.

Edit: I tried to attack on different planet: Solyma. Again, no success... it was even worse, because enemy had destroyers and other big ships. So Proxima was charged up to 5%, then it had to escape. All this with 5 dreadnoughts in fleed (maximum capital ships + 15k fleet cap). I cant imagine that buying small cruisers or having Dreadnought or Carrier would help.

PS: Do ship in fleet have same stats like ships i can pilot? I know they have same names but i am not sure about stats.

First of all the high difficulty sounds great.

I do hope that wars between the factions have attrition and things like that though.

Is there somthing special you have to do to initiate a planet takeover, i have killed all fleets in zone, tried to hail planet, even tried shooting at it! lol but it will not start the battle to take it over :(
Geek Apr 1, 2017 @ 3:07pm
Did you research Proxima ? No planetary assault without it.

No I did not...but i have all research done at base...how does one research a Proxima? I read something about flying around finding peices?
Geek Apr 1, 2017 @ 3:14pm
Upgrade Hangar to level 3 (if not done already)
Build the Proxima Shipyard near the HQ.
This will open Proxima research.
Once all topics are done, go to the Proxima grey icon near the target planet.

I really tried for past 2 days to beat the planet and every time i FAIL big time.

I have DREAD with all upgrades and 40k fleet with me.

Everything goes good - i fly in and clean everything up , scan anomaly and start Proxima but there where problem starts.
My fleet doesnt want to stay to defend Proxima - i tried calling them back but they always move 20k away and thats it.I wish there was a button where i can order stay ground and defend...haha

The closest i got was maybe 90 percent and that was it.I tried to go claiming other territories but at planet after some time the enemy fleet is spawn and i dont want to jump every 10-15 min from one side galaxy to another.

Is this going to be balanced in the future maybe.O yea i almost forgot - every time i try and conquer one field - if you try and board any ships while doing that - the game crashes

THX

yes a fleet defend order would be nice, also a key to bind the fleet to you, as they soon wander off if given the chance, done the missions to take a planet a few times now, and even with cheats used, it's a hard one to do and very random at times if you do it at all, seems sometimes ships spawn from the place where you destoryed the last one, so when you almost think your done, another one, then another one spawns and keeps like this for what seems like a very very long time, without the cheats i don't think i'd have the skill to do it either if i was honest, with 5 carriers or high end ships or types used makes little difference, i've tried a few types and the other side seems to match it no matter what, so yes while it's doable, it's also maybe beyond my ability. .. not saying it's too hard either, just i'm not that good at it
Veny Apr 23, 2017 @ 11:24am
I would say we need more research for proxima - optional ones that will increase durability, or maybe increase weapon charge rate.
