Problem with Docking

New player: I can't seem to dock with the station. I get close to the station. The reticle says Dock. It tells me to do LAlt to dock. If I hit the left alt key the graphics stops and nothing happens. I reset all the keybinds and tried but still nothing happens. I tried the quick action buttion but nothing.

What am I missing

Sounds like a few of your files have gone screwy. Try reverifying the integrity of your game files. You can do this by Right clicking on StarPointGeminiWarlords in the Library in Steam. And clicking on Properties, then click on the Local tab. Then click the reverify integrity of game files. This will take several minutes but should ensure all your in game files run properly.

However, If you have edited any files that are not in the Mods section, then they will be reset

Alternatively, you could target the station, open the Context menu (press mousewheel by default) and use the Dock action.

I'm guessing "J" is the shortcut for the QuickAction button that appears from time to time in certain situations, for example when you're close to a station, and when all requirements are met, the quick action button points to Dock.
